The Dolphins have lost a bunch of players but don’t seem to be signing any replacements. I’m trying to remind myself why I root for them on Sundays. The Marino, Clayton, Duper days are a lifetime ago.

Imagine how the Griese, Csonka, Warfield era fans feel?

Your synopsis seems to be 100% correct. What I was told is that they wanted to make a splash in free agency and when they were asking around, the Raiders said they wanted two 1sts. The ravens figured that wasn’t bad because it’s a mid round pick this year and they felt that next year‘s pick would be late in the first round. But then the public outrage was enough for ownership to tell the doctors to get them out of this mess.
Listened to the Ravens GM on the NFL channel last night claiming that no one was more upset about this deal falling through than him and otherwise trying to justify the Ravens reneging on the deal and all I could think of was one of my late father’s favorite sayings: this guy is more full of s**t than a Thanksgiving turkey.
