Has Golden always been a D?

Think we call it class. Golden has none.

Cal was vilified as low character before he arrived on campus. Funny how that didn’t bother us 2010-2019.

I think several things occur: being the UK coach smooths out some of the rough edges, at least in public presentation; and you overlook the flaws when he’s your guy and winning.

I would be thrilled with Golden as our coach next season if there were any indications that he regretted or learned from his mistakes. That’s all it would take. But none of us are able to assess that from our couches.

We hated Bruce Pearl, but he was so complimentary. Roy Williams, Coach K, Billy D…all had class after a win. This dudes a douche.

if golden can win the league next year once haugh and condon are finally gone I’ll give him credit. Chinyelu is the only returning big coming off this run.

He should call Walter Clayton every night and thank him, they should’ve been bounced in the sweet sixteen last year and I can’t believe Houston choked.

On Calipari - one of the most morally bankrupt people that’s ever coached here, he’s just really good at knowing how to conceal. You can do anything up to and maybe including murder and he’ll play you. People just really don’t know ins and outs of Calipari. He really knows how to cover.

Harbortown is a real and lots of people where I’m originally from laugh hysterically at the calipari good man routine. Guy also set up a yearly

Speaking of, im still waiting to hear details on whatever those allegations were. If he beat a title 9 investigation in that metoo era its hard for me to believe there was anything to it. No amount of winning saved people back then but he wasn't even winning big.

He is trying to be like Spurrier, I think. Or maybe he is secretly a UK fan and hates the job Pope is doing. I will say...I don't care if our coach is a tool like Golden. If he wins, I'll take that over a nice guy coach that just has excuses lined up after losing 10+ times.

Some points:

Plenty of shots have been taken at him based on the allegations that were proved meritless with zero actual evidence of.

He’a been a little chippier this year since he has more pull now.

Aberdeen was supposed to be his starting 2 guard, and UK overpaying for him left a bad taste in his mouth.

UK fans on social media are embarrassing themselves.

They are looking to retain the front court minus Haugh (NBA). Both Condon and Chinyelu would make more in NIL than potential second round picks. Handlogten is most likely going to receive an extra year for last years injury.

Boogie might be asked to take a pay cut since he’s underperformed as a whole, but we’ll see what happens there. He was our best option after Aberdeen left.

Whatever he is, he might have just convinced me to pull for Duke if they meet for the title. Scheyer at least shows class. Golden acts like a punk, right down to that week old beard stubble. Most men look that way after a day with no razor, for him and other boys, it takes a week.
