Like most teams...a little bigger and more athletic.

Big Ten teams will have it rough in the dance this year (again)

Wisky has a chance because they have two really good guards.
Illinois has no athletes but great size
Purdue has no athletes but are big
MSU can't shoot but they are going to play D
NU has no studs but they can shoot
OSU is hot right now but that will change
Michigan is loaded.
Spot on with all of those. Michigan seems to play to their opponent, but they can win it all. MSU always has a chance cuz Izzo is a ******* whiner who gets his way…and I even mean nationally.

The only goal is out there.

Couple days more rest for our team.

Maybe we are now a 4 seed as opposed to a 3 seed. Should still get a very favorable matchup against a low level conference team in the first round.

Regroup. Focus.

Purdue looked faster in the half-court game than the Huskers.

Out-rebounded 37-29. Free throw shooting 44%.

Garcia played 13 minutes and took 8 shots (Mast had 9 shots in 31 minutes). Garcia only made 2. Also had 3 turnovers in only 13 minutes. Not blaming Garcia, but he should have been told the right thing to do....get in the lane and battle for rebounds.

Yeah the Huskers really need to bust it on both ends if they're going to beat a team with superior size and talent, and I really didn't see that tonight. Maybe from Jacobsen, but not the team as a whole.

Big Ten studio guys saying pretty much the same thing, and I agree with them. Huskers playing timid and "not to lose."

Nu is .500 the last 12 games. They are a mediocre team right now. Gonna be tough to get the first tourney win. That’s concerning
Depends who the opponent is. I personally think we get a 4 seed. Once everything is determined I’ll have a better opinion.

The team hasn’t been the same since mast had the stomach bug and frager had the ankle injury

Ehhhh, that first round game will be against some lame team. It should not be a huge problem.
Still fairly confident in round one. Round two will be against a five or six. Going to be tough.

Three starters combined 14 points on 5-16, 1-7 shooting in 80 minutes,

If Kansas loses tonight, we should stay a 3-seed. Especially if Alabama loses to Ole Miss.

If KU beats Houston and UVA wins the ACC, we will probably be a 4-seed. Especially if Alabama comes back to win tonight and Purdue wins tomorrow.

At this point, I am just hoping we win one in the NCAA tournament. If we draw Hofstra or North Dakota State as a 13-seed, I would be a little nervous.

I hope we don't get a real bad matchup because the committee knows NU gets views. Like the A&M game

Team has looked like poo as of late. Going from an undefeated team to a .500 team the last few weeks of the season isnt exactly the momentum Id hoped for going into the dance.

This team is the worst version of itself at the worst possible time.

I think its a coin flip that NU wins a first round game no matter who the opponent is. The streak is far from broken.

Well, they get another day or two rest before the big dance this way don’t know if that’s worth anything or not

Shame they couldn't get Garcia to buy in to what we are doing. He's a big body with some athleticism and could have made a big difference in our rotation, but he's out there playing like an LA Fitness chucker. Replacing him with a guy like Cluff could have made us legit contenders.

The Nebraska curse of never extend your coach until your team's season is over continues.
I mean extending a coach after a hot streak is a dumbass idea statistically. Most winning streaks are dependent on winning toss-up games which happen because of luck. Take our win against Maryland and Cin, both toss-up games. If we lose both, Rhule doesn't get the extension. But because of opponent unforced errors and luck we win, it "seems" Rhule is great, he gets extended, and then the predicted fall back to earth happens. Since extensions always comes after "winning", they are almost always followed by losing. For some effin reason competitive people don't understand basic math, and they think "we won" instead of the bounces went our way, but won't next time.

This extension **** is where a no-talent *** clown like yogurt would really benefit from some oversight.

How about a rule - no one is allowed to re-evaluate and offer ANYTHING contract-wise until after the season.

Hottest team right now is the Badgers of Wisconsin. While they did have incredible guard play, they also had few turnovers and more rebounds than opponents.

Big Ten tourny is brutal for low seeds that keep winning, but that is what makes for a great show.

I am sure ADs would love that rule, but agents don't. Agents want people making impulsive decisions based on scarcity and fear of losing the thing that is currently good.

Well, Alabama lost to a terrible Ole Miss team and Kansas is getting their butts kicked by Houston. So that should be enough to keep us at a 3-seed. Unless UVA beats Duke tomorrow, in which case they might take the 3-seed and drop us to a 4-seed.

Also, it looks like Michigan State is going down, which means 3 of the top 4 seeds in the Big Ten lost today. So maybe the Triple Bye is not a good thing.

I have always hated the triple bye, but what can you do? Can’t tank games just to be the #5 seed.
