Getting to the Sweet 16 would involve beating a team like UConn or Michigan St, so I highly doubt it. Florida is the only really elite team in the SEC and we lost all 3 times.
Exactly, if we were actually any good we would have won today. Florida played like crap and we still couldn’t win. They didn’t score for 8 minutes in the second half. That is how teams like them lose and we still couldn’t get it done.

Which is weird because I thought last year we only lost in the sweet 16 because its hard to beat a team 3 times. I guess that excuse only works when its us that loses the 3rd game?
It’s not hard when you are the better team that’s for sure. Only when you have a ****** coach.

We’re the same team we’ve been. Might win one. Probably won’t win 2. Easily bad enough on our off nights to lose that first game, but good enough to beat any of the 2s if we’re on.

Good enough, but probably won’t. Probably do enough undisciplined stuff to keep it just out of reach. Not a hopeless cause, though.

And I still hope. Don’t want to hear another word about Pope’s contract. I’m a Kentucky fan. Would love to see us get to that second weekend and see what happens.

I’m guessing we will be a 7. 10, 2, 3 is doable. Unlikely, but doable.

This year you just want to avoid Duke, Michigan, Arizona, and Florida as long as possible.
It would be nice but you know what’s gonna happen. I hate it for 00 and Aberdeen. Only guys which really deserve to wear the jersey game in and out.

It's pretty obvious that injuries had a lot more to do with last year than the fact we had beaten them twice. It's not like we were one of the best teams in the country going against a team that struggled all year either.

Despite our trouble with Florida (3 close games where we showed a ton of heart), this team will be a problem in the Dance. Florida is elite and we still hung right with 'em. I think we at least get to the sweet sixteen.
Geez go root for Indiana. That is what they have been reduced too. Glad to see you are excited about mediocre basketball. You are why we now get all excited about moral victories. What a tool.

We will probably be playing a 10 seed the first game. I’d say it’s 50/50 we win that one .

Actually, it is true that it is hard to beat a team 3 times IF IF IF the teams are fairly even. That has often proven to be the case. When one team has a ton more talent, it is not true that it is hard to beat a team 3 times.

Florida is much better than we are. That fact nobody can deny. I fully expected us to lose yesterday. I also believed that UT would beat us in the tournament. Tennessee was favored in that game. The gamblers understand how this works even if a lot of fans obviously don't.

I don't recall anyone talking about how we blew a lead against Missouri and the double tech near the end may have saved us. Moreno is good but not ready to defend very good centers (as the Missouri guy was unstoppable) and Garrison is serviceable at best but certainly not in league with the more talented centers either. So, I have yet to see a dominant performance that would suggest we will go far in the tourney.
Our front court has hurt us all season
