Florida going to be ice cold today, they are due to lay an egg. We needs to shoot adequate from 3, has to be better than in yesterdays game and keep the rebounding margin close and we can win.

I am going to go yes for this one. Fatigue may legitimately be a concern for once, but Florida not playing in a week is also a potential advantage, so our fatigue could be muted slightly. If we go down double digits early, though, it will be a rough game for us.

I hope we get out to a big lead and take advantage of Florida being a little rusty and hang on but I don’t see it. Feels like 2 worse versions of Florida and Kentucky in 2012 (flip flopped of course) but we beat them for the 3rd time in the tournament as we were just better at most positions.

You've been a realistic fan for a while. A yes from you is HUGE. I hope you're right.

I voted no. For once Popes fatigue bitching is legit. The tournament setup is not to help teams like UK, OU and Miss that played on Wed. All 3 go home today.

Pope has got to get big contributions from the bench players when they're in. JJ, BG, MoD, etc. Whether it's scoring, defense or rebounding he's got to get production. Also CC has to get 10-12 open looks from 3 and hit 4 or 5 of them.

Ya know what, I'm gonna say yes on this one based off Moreno's quote about hearing Golden talk crap to our fans on senior day. If this team has an ounce of pride they will come out fighting today. Florida is still obviously the better coached team and more talented but I hope UK can come out motivated for once.

I think they are just a hard team for us to match up with. I was thinking about the game this morning, it would be nice if Lee and Bland would go back to their early season shooting.

I just hope we are competitive and don't get blown out. I think today might be the day we go home. We def owe Florida a loss!
My feeling (and I'm usually never accurate) is that UK will give UF a punch in the first half for once. UK will be warm, and UF might be a little rusty from not competing all week. I believe UF will find its focus in the second half and will end up taking it.

I hope I'm wrong. Go CATS!

What’s funny to me is listening to people on podcasts, in the media, people on rafters, and everywhere else. You would think Florida was this unbeatable anomaly that only comes around every 25 years. While I think Florida is the favorite, anybody that thinks there isn’t a world where UK could win today hasn’t watched basketball intelligently for very long. I think it would be fair to say that today it’s about 70/30 Florida. The fact that they’ve beaten us twice already, the fact that the arena will have majority blue, the fact that they’ve yet to beat us by double digits, the fact that they shot much better than their average in the first 2 games, the fact that if not for the first 3 minutes last game we actually beat them for 37 minutes.
You get the point.

Now, add the fact that we are sick of losing to them, and the fact that we are rolling a little right now, and the fact that they’ve been sitting for nearly a week and could be a little rusty. Who knows. People shouldn’t act like there isn’t ANY chance UK could win today. That wouldn’t be realistic. Gun to my head, yes I’d pick FL, BUT they have to do it again…
You never know.

There are lots of little nuggets that make you think that UK has a decent chance today. There is a reason words like IF, MAYBE, and PROBABLY exist.

Pope will have a great game plan but it will take AOC to out score their guards by a bunch to win

Our guards will need to be on fire from the outside to have a shot. Why we let those who shouldn't be shooting continue to shoot bricks, and not run simple.screens for our few good shooters is beyond me.

I think the biggest key to the game is to focus on limiting three point makes. They are going to get theirs underneath. But at least they only count for two instead of three unless you foul. I think I would play Chandler and Williams together some on opposite wings and force them to spread some. We need to hit decent to give the best chance. I don’t think I’m the only one noticing that Jelavic is very crafty at about 8-10 ft from the basket. Maybe he could work a few fouls. Oweh needs to attack, but not drive into 2 guys. Choose wisely.
Shoot a lot of threes because it causes a lot of long rebounds. Maybe it will limit Florida from easily rebounding every time.

Probably not. It’d be nice to be hopeful, but it’s difficult with this team.

No kidding. It's a total coping mechanism with these hayseeds. "If we don't expect to win, we won't be disappointed when we don't." Or they're just card carrying members of the Fellowship of the Miserable

You're not a UK fan. Nobody cares what you have to say
