The current uniforms look like they were pieced together from cutting room floor scraps. There are no noticeable logos and almost no reference to MSU. And all that (mostly) maroon with black shoes?? WTH?? If this is all we can afford, then why not just come out and say so. Otherwise, whoever thought the current iteration is attractive needs to give serious consideration to another line of work!! Even the hats look cheap!! And don't get me started on T-shirts and khaki shorts for early season games!! Hey, you won't see that at Florida, Georgia, LSU, etc., etc. If the answer is that the uniform material is wool, then who in the world ever thought that it was a good idea to use that material in the first place??

what in the world are you talking about? we have a military style of marching and as such we have a military style of band uniform with the school name on the sleeve by the shoulder and the lil ribbon thingie hanging in the back.

here's a reasoning why they dress in summer uniform, i'm not a fan of it personally but it is what it is and they have a valid reason for it.

I think the grey hats look better than the big plumes.

they're fine for pregame and such, Shako's and plumes are uncomfortable, awkward, hot and and expensive

I think the band needs to wear kilts and add bagpipes. Just think how it would separate us from the rest of the SEC.

No no no , don’t try and re-write the truth of what happened. The famous maroon band were wearing whatever pair of lounge shorts they could find, while we were being told “it’s because of the heat” while we sat there and watched all the other team bands around us come out in full uniform and it looked better and it made us look lazy. It was all on national tv. Dont feed us that when the next game on …is right down the road in even hotter weather.

I don't know if I'm whooshing a joke (hard to tell on the tone), but I posted photos last September of several other SEC bands, including Georgia, wearing polos instead of full uniforms because of the heat. The service academies do it too.
