Will Seton Hall continue its win then loss streak for a 7th straight game? It will be difficult but I say yes.

Seton Hall 68
Creighton 65
A few more bubble teams lost last night which gives us another incentive today . GO PIRATES !!!!

I think we pull it out but this game worries me given the track record vs McDermott style and if Creighton gets hot from 3. So many teams shot well yesterday at MSG.

Time off seems to help our physical style of play.

Seton Hall, 73-67

Weird feeling Seton Hall goes on a run to the final where they break our hearts.

What's frustrating is we have had games that potentially could've flipped our season like against St Johns and UCONN or simply beating one of the mid level teams in BE. The Bubble has been really bad. Teams like California, Indiana, Stanford, who were apparently even last four in choked terribly last night.

It just feels even opportunity presents itself, the team chokes even against a bad opponent. Creighton is arguably better than facing Depaul tbh, but they still will always give any team a problem. We honestly played better most of last game, but I just worry unless we really blow them out. If we can blow this team out, big confidence, but I don't think I've seen them dominate a team outside first Xavier game tbh. Sha can start Payne all he wants but give Hines his dues. Him and Clark are the two best guys up to this point and the best guys needs to play this tournament for us to get our best chance of winning this tournament and making the tournament. Some minutes need to be cut in general and guys who are playing good need to be reward in game.

We had 2 close games against the Blue Jays. Shoulda/coulda lost the one at home if it weren't for Hines. So we split the season. We always have trouble with the Blue Jays. McDermott will have them prepared. Even though Sha won COY he is not the offensive master mind that McDermott is. I see this going into OT with the Jays hitting a 3 pointer at the buzzer to escape the Garden with a heart breaking 1 point victory 80 to 79.

I’m hopeful but the styles are just too different and very good offense usually beats very good defense.

But is it what it was in the past? Kenpom rates their offense 5th in the league. Far from being the top 4. And at 5th barely ahead of Xavier and Butler. Even Georgetown is close to them.

They don’t have a very good offense this year though, despite Mac being a very good offensive coach. Using Kenpom, they are outside the top 60 and behind a number of other BE teams. Whereas defensively we are like 13th in the country defensively, sandwiched ironically between SjU and UConn in the defensive ratings.

They are down. They don’t have the playmakers they did in the past, even with McDermott’s great system. But they still create good looks with movement and take a ton of 3’s. In 20 BE games they are 1st in 3PA:FGA and 3rd in 3PT%. We better be ready.

We trade 3’s with 2’s way too often as it is, it usually always kills us. I will be pleasantly surprised if we control this game.

You never know which Seton Hall or which Creighton team shows up.

Hoping:
Seton Hall 67
Creighton 62

Should be close; possible overtime. After we miss a free throw,
we score on the rebound which gets called off after the buzzer.

The contest is and has been simple since I started it many years ago. The point differential provides the winner.

Really, this isn't life or death, it's just a fun game with the prize being an atta boy.
