I’m honestly surprised he lasted as long as he did. I know Arizona State isn’t a storied program, but it still feels like there aren’t many coaches who hang on at the same power conference position for 11 years when 6 of those are losing seasons. Ironically, he’s barely over .500 this year when they finally pulled the trigger.

Guys at field of 68 seem to think he he will do way better somewhere else. I don't think he has it. Clinging on to his Duke playing days

Can’t believe they’d move on from Hurley. Arizona State fans would run Golden, Oats and Coach K off too! Everybody knows you have to give at least 15 years. I mean Pope hasn’t done anything in 13 years either, but people on this board say you have to give time and he could be on their level

Hurley has deep recruiting roots, someone will snatch him up fairly quick. Wonder what kind of NIL budget ASU has?

Golden is from Phoenix.
His wife is from San Antonio.
If Golden took ASU job, my guess is his kids would be closer to both sets of grandparents.
Fwiw ...

AZ state has a very good big man, only a freshman
He is 7'1, can score, rebound and block shots
Think his averages are better than what jq had

He was so good at UCon, but I guess he just couldn't handle running 2 programs at the same time. What a loser
