I chuckled seeing that on the replay...but she really needs to not do that. That could have been a T and been a real problem.

Otherwise, what a win. Great 4th quarter for the Hawks! Congrats to them, that was fun to watch.
Yeah. It epitomizes what makes her "different" as a freshman. She's not afraid of anything or anyone out there. I love her game and how she carries herself. This is a tough, tough group of ladies.

Never in doubt.

Question now....will we still be ranked behind Michigan in the AP Poll?

I remember last offseason when we kept getting passed up by all these big names in the portal, and then brought in Chit Chat and didn’t have much info besides some tape.
I think this season has shown that the Iowa program is in good hands after Lisa retired and Jan may have a little more clout on the recruiting trail. I would imagine the uncertainty was used against Iowa during the previous recruiting cycle.

Regardless of what happens tomorrow, I still like to go back, point and laugh at Lauren Betts for spurning Iowa before Clark's senior year because she thought we were a "racist" school, and felt she had a better chance to win a national title at UCLA.

Alas, it was only the beginning of a mugfest by Michigan that the refs never did get under control.
It was truly fascinating how strict they called the offenses but how loosely they reffed the defenses. It’s no wonder why the score was so low.

UCLA better enjoy this year. Of the 4 teams that were remaining in the Big 10 tourney, this is how many minutes were played today by players eligible to come back next year.
Michigan 171
Ohio St 157
Iowa 126
UCLA 12

I’m really at the point that the loss isn’t the end of the world

We aren’t beating UCLA might as well use the extra day of rest and avoid injuries
A bit soon to have given up, as it turns out. And no way 11-19 Marquette men's team was beating #3 UConn (27-3) today, except they damn well did. You could look it up.

We have lost to uconn and ucla by 26 and 23 points. It will be good to play a team this good before the tournament regardless of what happens and we can see how much we have improved. Barring injury there is no downside to get this tough of a matchup.
This team is better than they showed vs UConn and on the west coast trip. On any given day....

A poster in the lounge said in yesterdays Michigan game one of the officials went up to the Michigan coach and said Sofikanich is a psycho.
Then she's in line for an important role in the dictator's regime . . . maybe the new face of DHS.
