The astounding part is she's averaging 21 and 11 and playing about HALF the game. 15-16 minutes most nights. I feel pretty confident that none of the other 4 finalists are playing half the game most nights.
It’s impressive but state tournament games against tougher competition tells a better story IMO. Greenway scores 40-50 against weak teams. Curious to see how Providence/Greenway sisters perform next week.

From what I've read the area where MW plays has three of the top 4 rated teams in the USA, one of those being her ABM team. I doubt many recruits are playing against better teams then she is. I'd also bet that Greenway is playing most of those games while MW plays less then half. Do the math on what her numbers would be playing 30 minutes a game.

I’m not going to argue her regular season competition because I’m not familiar with all the schools on the schedule. There’s a post up thread that her team was leading 48-2 at Halftime. Theirs is no doubting her talent.

Why do we keep posting bs about Greenway that is false?

Just watching Toby Fournier playing for Duke made me wonder how McKenna Woliczko would compare. They are both 6'2" and similar in actual size. Fournier rated 10th and Voliczko about the same out of high school.

Toby got press because she can dunk, I think Mckenna is a better forward than Toby is a guard.

Watched McKenna's game last night online... She was DOMINANT. And the stats only tell a little... She is a team player all the way... Ball never "sticks" when she gets it. Either she makes her moves quickly or she sets up someone else. Super active on D, all that good stuff... A joy to watch.

If you have a NFHS subscription, watch the replay and be amazed...

I'm driving down to Mitty this Tuesday to see her and the Monarchs take on Clovis West in a rematch of last year's NorCal title game (Monarchs won that one 64-60, of course without McKenna).

This year, Clovis West is ranked 7th in CA, and probably not far off the USA top 25. Mitty is ranked 2nd in the US.

Meanwhile, in SoCal, Ontario Christian is one game away from a potential rematch with Mitty at Golden 1 Arena after beating a very good Etiwanda... and their expected finals foe Sierra Canyon (with Jerzy Robinson) was surprised by Sage Hill, ending their season. Sage Hill plays at Ontario Christian Tuesday.

Just watched the replay of the Clovis West game... They were down by 20 with just under 10 minutes to play and came all the way back for a 71-66 victory over an excellent St. Mary's-Stockton team.

Tomorrow's Mitty-Clovis West game will be quite a contest... Can't wait to get down there for that one!!

She said she would attend McKenna’s game and catch a red eye back so she can be back in Iowa City for practice Wednesday.

I heard that and didn't know if Smith was playing around that time and if so Jan may have planned on seeing her play but couldn't mention it on air.

Highlight video of Mitty vs. Clovis West. From the video, I'd say McKenna is going to need to work very hard to get the type of endurance you need for college basketball-- lots of standing around and timid body position in this video.

That's seriously your take? :ROFLMAO: My take is the guards are ball hogs and do next to nothing to get MW involved. And when she does finally happen to get it good things happen

I wonder how she made the USA national team and is in the final 5 for national player of the year, blessings to you for your analysis.

Probably because she has elite length and can shoot and handle the ball well.
Clovis didn't even try to challenge her, and it looked like she spent the whole game on defense just standing straight up with her arms extended. I can see why top prospects struggle their freshman year.

First of all that was the worst video to see anything going on other than where the ball was. I did see MW with a couple assists for threes. I saw her block a shot and also go to the floor and dig out a 50/50 ball. They played a lot of zone and I didn't see anyone score over her.

You're telling me you watched the video and thought she was working hard on defense?

Seemed like she was playing rim defender in the zone, I have watched videos of her in AAU ball and in international play where she was tasked with playing defense against gifted players away from the rim, She has far more to offer than what her High School coach asked her to do in last nights game.
