They haven't voted on any other war or military action in over 80 years. Why start now?You may be right, but it definitely sounds like something our elected representatives should vote on.

Pretty sure you need to learn to read. Iran has pissed off every one in the middle east over the last week. This isn't Iraq, Iraq was a boondoggle of epic proportions the never should have happened. No we aren't safer because our idiot govt imported millions of those goat ******* after telling us we were fighting them over there so we wouldn't have to fight them over here. If you think neutering Iran and it's proxies only benefits Israel you haven't been paying attention to the middle east for the last 47 years.Pretty sure you led off by implying it was fantasy. What is the W for the everyday, average American? Because the kicking up a hornet’s nest in the Middle East for the sole benefit of an another nation only hurts the average American in higher costs. You basically rolled out the same slop we were fed in 2003. Again, are we safer after the Iraq War?
Because, like, the constitution and stuff. They haven't voted on any other war or military action in over 80 years. Why start now?
This is a Congress whipping up concerns about sleeper cell attacks while simultaneously refusing to fund DHS.Because, like, the constitution and stuff.
They voted on Iraq, though. Just not an actual Declaration of War. And most of them wound up regretting it, but at least they voted.
Lets say some of us havent had reason to recently pay attention to a random former athlete. Fill us in, please. If you’ve paid any attention to to Tim Tebow lately you’d realize moral rot isn’t confined to Epstein Inc. I’m sure Tebow is just a part of the diversion plot though.
The fact that Congress sucks is no reason to bypass them. This is a Congress whipping up concerns about sleeper cell attacks while simultaneously refusing to fund DHS.
Nope, you are wrong- your listed years are way off. Couldnt possibly be between '21 and '23 because oil was hated during those years.**I dont know how much more we can ramp up. We've been increasing production just about every month since sometime in 2021, and have been setting new monthly records since sometime in 2023.
But, if the ME really dies shut down production, the prices will be so high Im sure we will find out how much we can produce.
The scary part is, as well demonstrated in 2021, when you stop producing oil you cannot simply go out and turn the wells back on when you are ready to pump again. You have to drill new wells. If the ME stops producing, it will be quite a while before we get back to "normal".
Oh I know this one! They haven't voted on any other war or military action in over 80 years. Why start now?
Technically, you're right. In the real world that's just not how it works.Because, like, the constitution and stuff.
They voted on Iraq, though. Just not an actual Declaration of War. And most of them wound up regretting it, but at least they voted.
Congress authorized the liberation of Kuwait, too. And Vietnam.
Two wrongs dont make a right.
Urea went up $100 a ton in one days time earlier this week.....Not good for those planting corn...and its about to go up moreStarting to see some doomsdayers discussing how this also affects fertilizer supplies/pricing at the worst possible time. Guess we'll see.
How about 20 wrongs?Oh I know this one!
Two wrongs dont make a right.
Just because something was improperly done in the past does not justify it being improperly done in the present or future.

but three lefts doTwo wrongs dont make a right.
Doesn’t that make a backwards?but three lefts do
We should start a SPS piss collective. Could be big.
Seriously!
We were repeatedly promised multiple wars would end before he even took office and the cost of groceries, gas, and other goods would drop in the first day/week/month/year of his presidency. We were also promised a reshoring of manufacturing and an increase in high paying jobs.
I said when he was elected that I will happily take all that.
Any day now, I am sure.
In the meantime, I will go fill up soon, since I have to burn through at least half a tank tomorrow.
No doubt. Would have been much better politically to wait until mid terms, although it may help the next presidential election if they are successful in toppling the regime (which I think is a certainty if we want to do it) and something better fills the void (much less certain, although it is a pretty low bar). This is not going to end well politically for Trump. Making things more expensive going into midterm season is not a good thing. I mean this as a statement of fact, not an assault on Trump.
I know Iran hasn't killed that many US citizens with the terrorism it sponsors, but it would still be beneficial to us if that dropped to zero. But more importantly, I think it benefits us tremendously for Iran to not have a nuclear weapon. Not to mention yet another unpopular, foreign war that we started for the sole benefit for another nation.
Man, you really missed the chance to gloat about having a tesla there. Are you ok?Man. I am old enough to have been through enough of these sorts of things that it stresses me next to zero. I get why it is spiking, but this too will pass and prolly sooner rather than later.
Withdrawing with accomplishing nothing more than destroying their navy and nuclear facilities is a small W. It would not be a terrible thing if murderous oppressive regimes around the world knew we would come kill them personally if they attack the US or the interests of the US. There is always the concern that regimes will get worse and worse after they are toppled, but that seems to be sort of academic nonsense (it will usually be bad because that's the human condition, but not necessarily worse) and also focused on the wrong thing (I think the US should be satisfied as long as successors don't wage war against or sponsor terrorism against the US).Dude, nobody is buying what you are selling in your previous post. Did the Iraq war make us safer? What is the objective and what does a W look like in this war? Because all I am seeing is the administration break promises and post a bunch of Ls.
I think Trump is doing the things he thinks he needs to do now, BEFORE the midterms, because there is a good chance that Republicans will lose the House and decent chance they lose both the House and the Senate after the midterm elections. After that, we will just have gridlock for Trump's last 2 years and he won't be able to do much of anything. This is not going to end well politically for Trump. Making things more expensive going into midterm season is not a good thing. I mean this as a statement of fact, not an assault on Trump.
Congrats on being the dumb **** to get the thread locked by posting ignorant ****So gas is getting a lot more expensive because Trump is trying to distract us from the fact that he's covering up all the evidence that and his friends 17ed children. Awesome.
“Positive” regime change in the Middle East? Good luck with rhat.Numerous things can be true at the same time - (1) Iran has been the prime troublemaker in the Middle East for almost 50 years, (2) Iran has recently been weakened to the point that we are presently at a point in time where attempting to weaken them further and bring about a positive regime change might be worth the effort, risk, and short-term problems, and (3) our Government and Administration has/can/will completely **** up the strategic and political aspacts of it. All of that can be true.
Congrats on being the dumb **** to get the thread locked by posting ignorant ****
Gahdammit Der we are trying to have a geometry discussion here. Why are you locking it?90+90= 180
