Pope is getting a third year, so we all might as well get ready for it. I will support the team no matter who the coach is, but Pope better get his act together next year. Can a zebra change his stripes?

Pope was almost gone from BYU. Another 2 or 3 seasons like he’d been having and they were going to fire him. Mitch gave his family a gift that they’ll never repay. And Mitch might have actually known that too.

Lloyd, May, Oats, Otzelburger, and McCasland better get offers to be the coach. It better be swift and large. We need a real AD to get us a real coach.

If Pope really understood the " assignment " he has to know 10+ loss seasons, home losses and blowout losses are not cutting it. He better pull a rabbit out of his hat next year or else.
I don’t see a guy who can handle the pressure and expectations of UK basketball. I really do think he understands it all and us, but he’s not cut out for this job. Whenever it seems the team is going in the right direction, he craps the bed. That’s not something I see him being able to improve, it’s the reason he’s a 67% winner.

He's been out of the college game so long I don't think he can catch back up. It's a completely different dimension at this point especially with NIL
Again, why come to UK when you get paid well at UM and have less pressure to win titles? It's going to take an ego driven coach. Or a coach that wants to make a name rebuilding an empire.
So sad how far this team has fallen. The boosters are going to have to step in to get Pope out of here. I wanted him to succeed but it's obvious now & it was obvious earlier in the year, he ain't the guy. Oh he can coach talent I'm sure but the problem is he sucks at recruiting so he ain't getting the talent so it's a moot point.

I’ve about seen enough that I don’t think a 3rd year of this should happen. Pope isn’t UK material as a coach. I’ve never seen a UK team this unpredictable in my life. Smh. He’s not going to get us back to being elite.
They might be able to, but they’ll never outspend the football team. That’ll never happen. UK is one of the few schools where the basketball program outspends the football program.
If we hire a AD that considers Scott Drew then we definitely hired the wrong AD

15 years ago I'd agree with you. Now you can build a great team anywhere just about. If May wins a title this year at UM, he's not going anywhere anytime soon. Not saying you can't try, but BBN shouldn't get it's hopes up.
