What are you buying? And how much?
Oil/energy and gold up the wahzoo. Also copper. Recently bought MSFT and AAPL leaps (love these positions, but using key levels of support for stops to manage risk). I think I mentioned all these in past posts. I continue to be a huge gold bull as foreign nations hedge against the dollar (which will continue for at least the rest of Trump's term).

Bought the AVAV dip and eyeing NEM since it is bouncing off its 50 day. As always, this is via my personal account which is about 5%'ish of our investable assets (but growing!).

What have you been checking out?

When a non-economic stimuli (e.g., political or health-related) causes the market to go down, guess what the market will do once that stimuli is resolved or not a big deal anymore? See April 2025 or March 2000 for examples. That's artificial.

And example of a real economic event/trends = 2022 rate hiking cycle (i.e., not artificial)
And oil trade/supplies contracting while prices skyrocket is not an economic event?

It's caused by a non-economic event which is literally 1 tweet away from being resolved. What do you think will happen to the price of oil when that happened?

Poof.

I have added to PLTR in the $130s, OIL for the short term. No software stocks for now. I bought TSLA and RIVN on this dip

You think the WH is just going to tweet the attacks are over and everything magically goes back to normal? Right now there's no end in sight.

Isn't it interesting that gold dumped yesterday as the conflict escalated, but now rebounding on US assurances of economic/oil support. Seems not normal. LOL!

Yeah, BTC/crypto has held strong over the past several days. Good to see.

Sometimes you have an everything rally.

And sometimes you have an everything sell off.

Isn't the SK market essentially 2 stocks?
I heard samsung. Hyundai should be in there. Kia?

Supposedly it was ripping prior, and they import a lot of oil. So it was too hot, and is now over reacting to this oil spike.

Probably an upside short term trade there, but this may also be a blow off top that takes awhile to fully recover.

Been watching MDB going from a near double to now up 20% in my portfolio.

Was thinking of taking the profits that are left, but.

MS still has it a buy and an AI winner. Thinks the bar was just too high. Rev grew 26%. With expectations of 20% next year.

Looking at the chart, if it can hold here, it has a nice reverse head and shoulder formation in place.

I believe MDB has a history of dumping and then pumping back to old highs. The quarter was very strong, but meh guidance. Were they sandbagging or being honest? The former means hold, the latter means take profit! :)

Regardless, software has held strong the past week. Maybe a big counter trend rally is coming?

VRTX again trying to break through $500.

If you believe there is no such thing as a triple top, then this might be a good time to buy.

I love VRTX. It's the only big pharma/biotech that I own or trade. Vertex essentially has a $10B annual monopoly with its CF franchise. This gives them tremendous power to build its pipeline via R&D or M&A. These stocks are always tricky due the general dynamics of the sector, but VRTX should be a winner for a long, long time.

MRNA now up 16%. I'm not even sure why. Do I trade it?

Edit: Legal resolution of a patent dispute.

MRNA is one hell of a volatile stock. Tough to hold too long unless you have strong conviction with the company.

Or you have so many stocks in the portfolio you lose track of what it's doing.
LOL! Very true. I never have too many positions, but one of them is my custom basket (which is 32 holdings). My personal ETF. :)

CRWD responding after initially being down off earnings.
I don’t understand these moves…I bought a little late yesterday just for a trade. Stock was basically down or flat after earnings. In the red all morning even hitting close to $380. Turned green late morning so I sold for a small gain. 20 minutes later it jumps to over $400. This must be algo BS.

Buyers finally overtook the sellers.

It's always BS algo's. The market makers don't react instantly via humans.

I just AI'd up a chart with both gold and silver on it.

Really highlights the outperformance of Silver over the last 12 months, and to my eye, why there is likely some convergence to come. Especially when you look at the 5 day, or 1 day, where Gold is outperforming, with Silver down on both.

Meh. Seems like the Straight is secure and available for shipping.
If it wasn't it would probably be around $100.

But I'm guessing Iran's oil, which typically goes to China, is now off the market, and thus China is pulling from the bigger market.

I might take profit on my remaining oil calls. When the tweet comes declaring a resolution to the conflict, oil is going to tank hard.

And then maybe rebuy! :)

Welp I sold my gold and silver exposure, and that looks kind of smart early.

But I transitioned to copper which doesn't look as smart. Maybe just early.

I think I'm going to lean into it though.

I'd be surprised if we are near that yet, but overall I think that is the play.

When Iran's oil is no longer sanctioned that should bring prices down.
