Punking Kansas really really hard on this one would be the best news we’ve gotten since October.
I honestly don't think that is the answer to winning championships! I would rather get top portal talent then go this route. I'm ok with 1, but you still gotta get a go to portal guy IMO. And neither one of those freshman will ever come and not be the featured pieces!
And I will assure you,these same fans that are clamouring for freshman will pitch a fit if any of them struggle.
Stokes is actually a better prospect than Carlos Boozer was coming out
He’s definitely not a ball hog but he is unstoppable when he wants to score. He’s great team player on the court and has been very unselfish this season at (Rainer Beach)spelling?, anyway you can go to YouTube and watch all their games fully. The kid plays as hard as anyone on the court, he plays at the front of the press and causes turnovers like hes going to catch on fire if he don’t. No one here knows anything about anything off the court or how anything went down. I mean he’s still playing and winning so apparently he’s not that much trouble. Grown damn men talking shiiit about a kid is soo cool even though they can’t prove what happened or didn’t happen. Let’s let the coach’s figure out if he’s worth the trouble he is or isn’t. 6’7 with a 7’1 wingspan very athletic and Guard skills. Has a huge ceiling and potential. Basketball skill wise he should be a big time player, mentally is where I worry. Lots of stories of character issue, so time will tell.

No. That's why he isn't as important as many make it out to be! On top of that I'm not sure that he wouldn't cause issues next year.
If I was pope I would sign Chandler MM kam Jelly Hawthorne. Then go after a portal PG,PF. And a portal go to guy (Harris, someone on his level) Then finish the team out with the best pieces that fit!

No on AAJ and Petersen but maybe similar to Boozer, who has outperformed expectations imo.
You have to remember before last year started most considered Dybantsa the best HS prospect even over Flagg.
Everytime a leader is named in the media a story about a visit to another school comes up. His people are playing the game masterfully and I still believe he ends up at Kentucky.
I’ve never seen anything written about being a bad team player. The reason is because that’s not even close to the truth. Go to watch his games and you can tell everyone on his team loves him and they have more fun than any high school team you’ll ever watch. He’s very unselfish this season, passing is unbelievable, he pretty much handles the ball all game and is just fun to watch play the game. His defense is unreal and is maybe his best trait. You can say anything you want off the court, but on the court the kid is the hardest working player all game on the court and hands down the best player. Actually not a person here knows what he’s like off the court either. He got in a little something at his last school and left. We have no idea what happened and if it was his fault or not. Everything I’ve saw is he’s a great kid who loves his family and trains like a professional Basketball player even though he’s in high school. I think he’s worth the staff looking into him for sure. You’re a good poster here but you’re wrong about this kid. Go watch his games on YouTube and see how all his teammates look around him and how they play team ball.
That’s a championship start to the season and a hellll of a team in the making.

Stokes high school coach is holding him in check just fine. Stokes isn’t an issue. Hes a basketball player. Number one in the nation. Why do 85% of the board continue to act like he’s an inmate? The guy hasn’t been suspended or kicked off any team.

That’s a personal opinion. I think so. I’d rather have stokes than boozer any day. Boozer plays like a big. Stokes is a forward that can play pg or center.
IF Stokes were in board and wanted to come play...and If you bring back Chandler and MM...you are a star PG away from being a contender. Those four with Jelly/Mo at PF and Lowe and Kam as additional backcourt pieces...that is a contender
Can you give a couple examples of his character issues? I know he got into something with his previous school but I have no idea who started or what it even was. He moved on is all I know because of it. Everything else shows he’s a great player, teammate and works his tail off training. Anyways thanks in advance.
So he might rank # 4 on that list and that’s only because they’ve played against college competition this year. Let him step onto a college court first. He’s a good kid man, also, He’d be the best player on our team day one!

That’s not my expertise and I’ll leave that to the staff, if it was though I’d pay to get him here and figure the rest out. He’s a beast and unstoppable on offense and the best defensive player in college next season in my opinion. The kid is pretty much playing point guard for his team and brings the ball down the court most the time and on the press plays the one and makes it very hard on you to get the ball over. He’s a long quick Tasmania devil on defense. lol. So yeah he’s worth it if AJ was. It’s all the market I suppose. His work ethic is second to none.

Seriously though what I’ve saw, all the interviews and cameras in his face 24 /7 , he’s a great kid who breaths and sleeps basketball. Ohh and loves his Momma to death. lol. To me that means a lot. Again, go watch his games in full on YouTube because everyone of them are there and it’s amazing how they play together, but more than that, he is just a once in a generation talent on both sides of the ball. Now against some weaker teams they press and its steal after steal, dunk after dunk and some could say ballhog I guess, someone has to score though and he’s the one on the press so he’s closest to his goal. Pope needs him because this is do or die for his career at Kentucky next year. He can’t afford to not have the best possible team next year when this year’s “ $20 million Ferrari” was a massive disappointment. Pope needs to give as much money to Stokes to get him to come here or it’s probably lights out after next season.
Issues with teammates, teachers, other students, faculty and coaching staff. I think it’s mostly an immaturity problem. From what I hear his ego is too big for his britches which isn’t always a bad thing but sometimes that creeps over and becomes something more chemistry wise. I’d still love to have him as a Cat. I’ve been hearing the rumblings almost 2 weeks now and that’s why I made the post I did about Stokes. If he does sign it will be a domino effect and we will sign more and hopefully feast in the portal.

Who said anything about rumors? I’ve said before if I mention something about a recruit it’s because I have direct knowledge or have spoke to someone who does. I don’t get what I post off twitter or another message board. Hence why I mentioned that Kentucky was back in the mix with Stokes a week and a half before it’s becoming mainstream and being made known. You don’t need specifics on what happened to understand the kid has a clear cut attitude problem, I’m not going to go into detail just for your amusement.
