I have followed SC athletics for 55 years. This is the historical norm outside of a few outlier years in each sport
I've all but quit following. I don't know why anyone wastes their money and valuable time on this program. When you think about it, it's stupid. It's supposed to be a fun diversion. It's not and hasn't been for a while.
Terminating Tanner's contract is most likely a non-starter but why he escapes public scorn for his negligence and incompetence makes no sense to me given the amount of money he was paid for the worst performance in history. Hyman and NC State were correct.

And we have fans that continue to waste hard earned money to pay a bunch of people to lose. Thats what’s most insane to me. I don’t know how anyone could want to invest in this program.
I'm not too certain about this, but I think you would have to go backwards from the Dietzel years to find such a year.
Not true for Baseball. It has been the flagship of the University.
Starting with Bobby Richardson, who did not predate Dietzel. Most years, football was the worst thing we had going in men's sports under Dietzel. Basketball and baseball were pretty good. That's why I said that, if you want to find a year where all the major men's sports sucked this bad, you would probably have to go back to before Dietzel.
