I dont have a problem with him coming at the fans. JQ is a grown man and can talk for himself. Dad shouldn’t have a problem taking it since he has no problem dishing it.

This is one of those situations where his Dad is gonna find something to b itch about no matter what.

if nobody was saying anything he would still be running his mouth.

JQ’S dad seeing his son NBA draft dropping , is trying to clear his son image. Understandable but in my mind , this is a situation where less is more…..

he is actually doing more damage then helping,,,,,first he goes after coaching staff ,,,,then after the fan base….even if he would be right , those are very bad moves that will not look good for any NBA GM. You want your son to look coachable, hardworking and humble and drama free…..

Question to my fellow RR posters, in the very unlikely event that JQ returns to college , would you want him back at UK?

Maybe he will attend his son’s meetings with the NBA teams and stick his hand up his butt and move Jayden’s lips for him to answer questions. This is another parent that has raised his kid that if everything doesn’t go his way he can quit. Lottery selection will not happen this season, to strong a draft class for a 5pt a game player. And if JQ’s Dad wants the smoke, come to Memphis where talk is cheap and smoke can hurt you!

Nope, spend the money on a guy or guys that don’t have a history of injury. Plus JQ is terribly overrated. He’s a big body with very little offensive skill. 0% chance he’s back at UK next year.

I'm not sure I want him back TBH. He's never given me indication of really much at all post injury. I think it's all a moot point because that kid if projected to be drafted better get on outta here, you'll never see JQ here again they're trying to sneak him into the league before NBA figures out his flaws.

Personally I'd let JQ walk if he did want to come back. I'd like to have a somewhat competent offensive threat out of my C. Which JQ isn't unless he's dunking. I definitely wouldn't pay him a whole bunch more NIL if he did return but our dysfunctional NIL spending probably would get him a raise. He needs to come back next year and play off what he's already been paid or refund it, biggest waste of few million dollars I've ever seen. There has to be provisions somewhere about paying people astronomical money and they saying okay thanks and not ever actually doing anything to earn said money. That's why I feel payouts should be at the end of the year not upfront.

He is very limited as far basketball skills…

his style of play will not give him longevity…..

I agree with previous posters that if we would be playing here next year ( which he will not) he should play for free since this he wasted a spot on the roster and didn’t have a moral problem to cash his NIL checks….

considering that I dont think he will be full healthy and he has a drama Queen in his family…. I would say No to JQ and his family.

Considering his pre-UK draft status, JQuit is the most overrated big man in recent memory!

I’ll say it again… Dude is literally trying to fake his way to a NBA contract!

That’s why he left HS early, that’s why he played limited time at ASU, and that’s why his knee started to “swell” when he got exposed in limited minutes this season!

Pops is pissed that the veil has been lifted on their shenanigans 😆

He might be careful calling for smoke. There's some don't poke the bear country boys that are about that life. Difference is they don't have a family member with millions on the line.

He averaged 30 minutes a game for 24 games at ASU.

Maybe his dad reads RR threads. There are about 100 threads where people go at him directly.

Can't be though...players and recruits don't read all the unfair crap that gets said by some folks here...there's a whole thread about it just being Popes fault
I doubt that. Most of our posts here are likely not known by these parents. However, Twitter UK fans make us all look like maniacs. And yes, parents see those.

How can his father complain about how he was used? He played 4 games and not much in most of those.

I mean I just can’t imagine complaining about making 2 million dollars and playing 4 games. If he’s good with money he can basically be set for life and he’s only 18. I just can’t imagine being negative in any way, they should be extremely grateful Kentucky is paying him that much.

If they would 100% make a commitment to come back next year and give it their best I might be on board, but that NIL would have to be cut a little bit to make room for some other pieces. Otherwise move in another direction. He could share minutes with Moreno and be a beastly combination, while also building his draft stock back up. I think we all know what the end result will be though. Remember the dragon.
