I don't care about the first two. As for the third, Iowa was the premiere program for 35 years. Iowa has never been at that level for any length of time in any other sport. Hell, hardly anyone has.

You are correct. Again Iowa had an opportunity with Taylor but that obviously would have been a gamble. When PSU got Sanderson I think they finished like 16 or so that previous year. You had some deep pockets boosters that decided to make a play. Easy to do when you're willing to gamble and have notching to lose. Iowa won the year prior to Sanderson starting at PSU and his first year. No one fires the current National championship coach on a gamble that a new guy will be the next Gable.
When Taylor went to Ok St I was initially surprised. I did not even know he was considering coaching but I'm guessing people plugged in did. That was opportunity 2. Brands was 5th that year but they didn't make the move. The next one might be Messenbrink down the road or some kid not even in college yet. By next one I mean Gable/Cael level greatness but who knows?
Don’t you have a completely unrelatable analogy about weight cuts in weight lifting or false accusations about sexual assault to talk about?

What is wrong with you with the panties in a lot comment? I absolutely loved the atmosphere because I love wrestling. I love to see the Hawks top, but understand we’ve been on a really blessed ride. I just want the student athletes to have the best experience. So how is that not tough? Quit sobbing, please

Due to injury my buddy got to wrestle as a true freshman in Carver against an Iowa returning national champ. My friend ended up being a 2 time AA at his school, so he wasn't a chump. But he was getting his *** kicked by the returning national champ Iowa guy the whole match and he said the crowd was just brutal to him as he was getting his *** kicked. You can imagine what was said. Constant calls for stalling, he was called a ***** many times. A lot more stuff in a 7 minute match. He laughs about it. But, Iowa fans should not be whining about OSU giving Iowa a hard time. The Brands getting beat video thing is actually awesome. I think it's awesome that Brands flipped off the crowd. Would have rather beat them on the mat though. But....Didn't AJ get asked not to come back for this very reason? Tom setting himself up to be fired with cause.
Maybe his match with Jenkins. At least the last few seconds.
Easy solution. Next year just show highlights of Bubba Jenkins beating Taylor in the Finals. Same difference.
If only stuff like this, with wrestlers not liking Sanderson's style, happened WAAAAAY more often:

That’s not far off from where we are at right now... It was more so me being a realist and understanding there could be a brief drop off where the supposed great recruiting classes flee during the coaching change along with the bare cupboard that would be left.
Myself and many others put up with Brands’ style, attitude and program for years because he was relatively successful and he got a whopping 1 team title out of the Pennsylvania recruits. Now not only are we not winning like we should, we look boring and timid.

This is a response to the dolts crying about the poor treatment of the brands because they had to sit though video highlights of their losses from nearly 30 years ago.
Hate to break it to you, but Taylor, a level headed adult who seems to be satisfied with his Olympic gold and pile of money likely doesn’t care if we inexplicably played a video of him getting pinned by an ASU wrestler while he was at PSU since no Iowa wrestler could beat him.
