I said this in another thread. Not sure why Ben has let guards just go downhill on us in so many games this season. It was great seeing our big not just switching out but both guys pushing the dribbler back and the guard not knowing what to do. It was way to easy for Boyd last game to get the switch and then just go down hill. Kudos on the adjustment.

I think Ben felt we could get away with trapping Thornton because the starting 7fter was out and the outs guys could not shoot from arc.
Wis. bigs can all shoot it so could not help on Boyd.

I rewatched the game in parts yesterday and watched combs playing on Thorton. He basically stayed on him no matter. He provided very little help defense. As soon as a shot went up Combs left Thorton immediately and crashed the boards and ended up with a few RBs. Not sure if that is how they usually defend but wanted to rewatch and see what they did that took Thorton out of his game.
