When do you start a fire the softball coach thread. They seem to struggle beating ranked teams this year. Maybe the sky is falling!
I hate the struggles of the baseball, basketball and football teams also. But history of these programs, especially football and basketball, for my 59+ years pulling for USC has made it easier to observe and hope for the best. Especially for baseball, I watch the games because I enjoy baseball so much. Don't let coaches TOTALLY remove your excitement of the sport you like.

Coach PawPaw has not improved us one inch. At this point, we would have been better off sticking with Kingston.

WE must not have any backups or secondary players worth a hoot. Our Women's BB program's 2nd string would be ranked in the top ten in the country if not higher. WE got no players in Baseball and Basketball. This has been a long-term demise. The rot of both programs has prevented talent from going to Columbia and the Fish stinks worse at the head.

I mentioned this in another thread. The ability to play and the ability to coach are not the same. Surprising, but the ability to coach and the ability to hire a coach are also not the same.

So true. My example is I love golf, play to 13 hdcp. I could have best coach in the world and I would never be playing Senior Tour now or never been a pro golfer. My abilities are limited....

LOL- I want to agree with you....but don't think that's possible. I really think Kingston set us on this path more than any other piece in the puzzle including ADs.
