I just wanted to take a min and say that I was wrong. Despite there being no official statement that SVN filed for a medical hardship waiver or was approved by the NCAA for one, this actually did take place recently. When I first started this project, that was not the case, however, things do change of course, as did this. I reached out to the Penn St athletic compliance office along with wrestling strategic communications and they just wrote me back thanking me for checking back in and letting me know that SVN does in fact now have Junior eligibility status. Of course they did not go deeper into that in discussing the medical hardship, as I didn’t think that they would. Don’t need them too however as this means that he did get approval for it and fairly recently.
It’s my bad I should’ve reached out to them before I initially told you that what you said was not correct.

Great match! OkST has a massive logjam coming in the lower weights. They need Zinkin to make 125 for a couple years at least. Villasenor is coming in another year as well. Fitting Zinkin, Ramirez, Sakamoto, both Raney’s, Jax, and Vega into the lower weights will be interesting to watch. No different than PSU in the upper weights though. Cael has always done a masterful job at this while seeming to keep everyone happy. Let’s see if DT can follow suit
He has worn PSU gear during warmups in the past. So, yeah, there's at least some interest.
