Yea at that point you gotta let the Kentucky kid go be another random player somewhere else. Watching his expressions lately…. If he doesn’t enter the draft i could see him transferring. And I wouldn’t be upset. The whole team besides Chandler and Williams could leave. In no world should we pay Moreno 3 million. He is good, but he’s not 3 million good.
You may be right but 21 posts in 8 years? Smells like a troll job to me.Update is he ain't coming to KY not matter what.

I’ve said Moreno is a future pro. And he is. But give me a center with a little more speed and aggression. And one that can shoot. If they can’t shoot they better play like baby Shaq over there at Georgia. Hell I’d swap even with them. He was almost a cat anyway. Give me a center that can jump and block shots. Jump and catch lobs.
Then what is the purpose of the 22 million rev share cap?The only difference now is that rev share was started the 25/26 academic year, and any deals outside of that have to pass through NILGo. Collectives are still alive and well, and UK can pay as much money as they want to pay.
I’m not convinced Pope even wants Stokes. I can see him running back with what he has and fills departure holes with 4* portal guys that “fit his style”.
Which of course would be another disaster.
The $$$ figure came from the settlement. A certain % of revenue was to paid to the athletes. They were trying to get away from the pay for play by all schools having the same amount . They set up the NIL clearinghouse to make sure anything besides rev share was legit business deals. I think they thought that would stop collectives but it hasn't. This fall schools were bypassing the whole NILgo and paying their players lol. I think that's why UK did the JMI deal. But they quickly found out nobody else was playing by these rules .Then what is the purpose of the 22 million rev share cap?
Last fall the the ruling wasn't in place yet. After that ruling money can either come from the rev shap cap of 22 million OR real NIL deals that are paid by a business. Now whether schools are doing other things such as giving money to a company to then pay to a player for an advertisement or something is irrelevant to my point to the other poster of how the rules have changed. The $$$ figure came from the settlement. It went into effect 7/1. The rev share cap was just the total amount the school could give to student athletes. There isn't a limit on NIL deals. Theoretically UK could spend 50 million on basketball players next year if we wanted.Last fall the the ruling wasn't in place yet. That is not true lol. Might want to look into what Cap means. It went into effect 7/1. The rev share cap was just the total amount the school could give to student athletes. There isn't a limit on NIL deals. Theoretically UK could spend 50 million on basketball players next year if we wanted.
Ok lol . I don't know how else to explain how it works. Bless your lil heart. As much arguing as you do here, it would be cool if you knew what you were talking about. That is not true lol. Might want to look into what Cap means.
And for years before that we paid NBA tryout kids to come here and worry about their draft stock instead of Kentucky. Hey I’m with you on getting the best kids but Stokes doesn’t want to be here so why should we want him here? It’s something I hope they figure out so we can get back to winning instead of an embarrassment. It definitely needs to be a mixture of the right guys who can actually play instead of what being brought in here.yeah we spent the money on veterans the last two years and have almost 30 losses idk why u wanna keep doing it

I get your point. I like Moreno. He might be happy here. Just looks out of it imo. His potential might be better but I’m not worried about what they will be in 5/6 years from now. Moreno might end up being a lottery pick. I doubt it but I want who’s going to produce next year. Cyril is a monster who moves his feet and can jump out of the gym. He’s so powerful he can man handle Moreno and foul him all game without getting called for fouls. It’s because he plays with an amount of agggresion that Moreno doesn’t know exist.I’d take Cyril in addition to Moreno. As a defensive specialist and enforcer. But no way I’d trade them. Moreno’s potential is much higher IMO. I hope he busts his *** this summer on conditioning and strength training. He’s gonna be a good one.
Should we bet $100 on it?Its killing you isn't it...I am going to laugh at you for a week when he signs here
The only reason that some players are playing 38 mins is because we have 2 people out and 1 that never really played. If you do the math and other guys were still playing then OO, DA and Chandler mins all go down by 10 to 15 mins each. The only reason we had the run we had is because it is harder to screw up subs when you have less people in the mix. Probably lost at least 3 more games if those guys still playing.Well thank god! It only took double digit losses to see change.
He knows jack squat..about stokes? u his uncle or something?
This is exactly right but there is revenue sharing now tooDude you are totally lost, that is how it works now.
The school is not writing checks to anyone currently, they are NIL deals, they are coming from endorsements and agreements in terms of Name, Image and Likeness.
Schools currently do NOT pay players at all, they are 100% via NIL deals that are through endorsements, that is it. We had $22 million in NIL this year, which does NOT come from the school, it does NOT come from the school's budget, the school's AOP (Annual Operating Plan), NOTHING.
You are just completely incorrect here.

Of course he’s not AD or J Wall. He’s literally right in between them. Not a center or pg but a forward big enough to play down low or good enough handles to control the ball.I am not sure if we overspend for him, like spend that for 2 studs and go portal hunting. I know he seems great on paper, but is he another John Wall or Anothony Davis? I doubt it.
No you are confused. The rev share cap is only for what the “SCHOOL” can provide. Players can still get unlimited NIL opportunities as long as they are approved by the clearinghouse which apparently approves almost anything. Jordan smith Jr will be getting 3 million at Arkansas so 4-5 for stokes is about where I expect him to be.Amazing how many of you have no clue what the ruling did this summer.
Yes I completely understand that. That is exactly what I have said in this thread. I'm talking about the people saying "UK could pay 50 million in NIL next year if they wanted to". No they cannot, they have a cap of 22 million and that is for all sports combined. The NIL deals outside of that, that come from business are unlimited. No you are confused. Those people aren’t getting technical with it like you are. They are saying UK as in pope and the program with nil collective and all.Yes I completely understand that. Collins didn’t like the language in the JMI agreement about them supposedly restricting who they could go get deals from. JMI is good for football with that philosophy and bad for basketball players. Most top bball players don’t need jmi to find deals. I also think he always wanted to stay west.Thats not seemingly how Collins Agent feels tho
