Two more before the Big Tourney. Illinois is no pushover and Wisconsin has improved.
So what you're saying is...Two more before the Big Tourney. Illinois is no pushover and Wisconsin has improved.
What I'm saying is teams have a tendancy to have a let-down down after a huge emotional win. I'm sure Jan will have them focused. So what you're saying is...

Thanks Captain Obvious lolTwo more before the Big Tourney. Illinois is no pushover and Wisconsin has improved.Capt
Revenge game for Guyton..Revenge game for Hawks, Illini won by 5 last year, 8-17 from free throw line was a big factor in the loss.
At least Chit Chat will have somebody closer to her size guarding her part of the gameRevenge game for Guyton..
No need to be dicks. Iowa came out ahead in the PG game when Chat came aboard. Will AJ Guyton come to the game? Somebody boo him.
You have to go! This team has given us plenty to cheer about this season. Ride the wave as long as possible. I wish I were not a 20-hour drive from Iowa.Tickets are super reasonable and the kids don't have school Friday, talk me out of the 2 hour drive...
We're shooting <69% from the FT line as a team. Hannah is shooting 58%. No excuse for us being that bad at FTs, we're just giving points away. JJ needs to lock them in Carver for a weekend doing nothing but running and shooting FTs.Revenge game for Hawks, Illini won by 5 last year, 8-17 from free throw line was a big factor in the loss.
Last REGULAR season home game.....Looking at the Illinois game, as it is at home I would think the women would be ready. Truly last home game, revenge from last year. Go Hawks!
Yep, if Jan would just lock them up for the weekend Hannah would immediately be up to 70%.We're shooting <69% from the FT line as a team. Hannah is shooting 58%. No excuse for us being that bad at FTs, we're just giving points away. JJ needs to lock them in Carver for a weekend doing nothing but running and shooting FTs.
I was being sarcastic. Seems like you don't think it's possible to get better at shooting FTs, which is certainly a take.Yep, if Jan would just lock them up for the weekend Hannah would immediately be up to 70%.
We shoot 68.55% from from the line and average 17.67 free throw attempts a game. If we raised our percentage by 10 percentage points that would put us top 15 in the country but would net us only 1.7 points a game. So we are giving away points, but not that many. We're shooting <69% from the FT line as a team. Hannah is shooting 58%. No excuse for us being that bad at FTs, we're just giving points away. JJ needs to lock them in Carver for a weekend doing nothing but running and shooting FTs.
Probably.Yep, if Jan would just lock them up for the weekend Hannah would immediately be up to 70%.
Actually , she made significant progress in the earlier part of last season, and then regressed late, and has once again falling back close to her early time her first two seasons. From under 50% to over 70% earlier last year and now back into the 50's I believe, which now of course is the only time that matters currently.Actually, Hannah has improved her ft shooting! In the words of an Indiana football coach, "google it!"
Bought 5. Almost top row but that's actually beneficial for the kids who will undoubtedly have to go to the bathroom 10 times. You have to go! This team has given us plenty to cheer about this season. Ride the wave as long as possible. I wish I were not a 20-hour drive from Iowa.

Aaliyah is still friends with the team and has posted supportive positive messages on McCabe's recovery social media postsWill AJ Guyton come to the game? Somebody boo him.
She's also from Peoria which is a stone's throw from Champaign.Aaliyah is still friends with the team and has posted supportive positive messages on McCabe's recovery social media posts
Aaliyah played well for the Hawkeyes her freshman year. Kids transfer for a variety of reasons. She showed up when she was here--unlike Owen Freeman and Emely
So I hope the crowd doesn't have the poor taste to boo her.
Yes because fixing one's FT is that easy. One weekend is all it takes, and that's why ever pro in the NBA and WNBA is great FT shooterWe're shooting <69% from the FT line as a team. Hannah is shooting 58%. No excuse for us being that bad at FTs, we're just giving points away. JJ needs to lock them in Carver for a weekend doing nothing but running and shooting FTs.
The locking them in Carver thing was sarcasm, sorry you missed it.Yes because fixing one's FT is that easy. One weekend is all it takes, and that's why ever pro in the NBA and WNBA is great FT shooter
Also, let's continue to focus on what Hannah can't do well--instead of her incredible efforts on the boards, her passing, her improved handles et
Let's then wonder why the prospect of MORE fans isn't the recruiting lure we all hope for...
It's not weird. It's just that some of us realize that Hannah simply doesn't possess that particular skill at a high level. To think that she hasn't shot thousands of them in order to improve seems a bit presumptuous, no?The locking them in Carver thing was sarcasm, sorry you missed it.
I love HS's game, all the things you said. That said, looking at what a player doesn't do well and focusing on improving that weakness is how they get better.
Very weird to me how some of you apparently think it's impossible for a basketball player to get better at making FTs.
I would hope and assume she's shot tons of FTs, don't know for certain. Either way, I'd think getting better at the "particular skill" of taking a wide open shot from 15 feet knowing you don't have a defender to worry about wouldn't be out of reach for one of the better basketball players in the B1G. At least getting better than 58%.It's not weird. It's just that some of us realize that Hannah simply doesn't possess that particular skill at a high level. Some of you guys equate "butthurt" with being intellectually and emotionally reconciled with a reality that isn't going to change and refusing to whine and complain about something that isn't going to change. You'd prefer to blame the object of your complaint for not trying hard enough to get better. The rest of us know that's probably a complete fallacy.I would hope and assume she's shot tons of FTs, don't know for certain. Look at you with all those big words. Impressive. Should be a good game. What will be their plan for the freight train named Ava Heiden? The excellent Illinois PG is even smaller than Aaliyah. Destiny Jackson is doing amazing work as a freshman and only 5'6"--so I'm excited to see her face off with Chit Chat.
I'm pretty sure Hannah, the coaches, and everyone on this board can see the gaps in Hannah's game.I would hope and assume she's shot tons of FTs, don't know for certain. Go at her early and get her in foul trouble. It's been far and away the most effective defense of her all year long.Should be a good game. What will be their plan for the freight train named Ava Heiden?
