This one's on Pike for his substitutions. Badalau was the most egregious.
Why don’t we press more often? The only thing that this team is even decent at on defense.

Ill give credit for Pikes using the 2 tos after the 4 minute timeout to set up offensive and defensive press and at least giving Rutgers a shot
I don’t know. Not having TOs last 90 seconds of game not good. Not that it matters.
Rutgers got a pretty favorable whistle all in all and wasted 30 trips to line

This was a subpar game for Francis. He missed a lot of open shots and bunnies. Lino was terrific tonight. Too bad Pikiell is clueless with his LOUSY substitutions.
But he has $20M in his pocket to put this team out there!
If I were Pike, I would move Mark and Buchanan into starting lineup and just play a pressing defense pretty much the entire game.

Rutgers Basketball fell for the second straight time against Washington in Lathan Sommerville's return to Jersey Mike's Arena.
He is a terrible defender, so when his shot isn't falling he's a huge liability
If he wants to stay I'd keep him over Francis. Francis is who he is. Mark has more upside and is a way better defender.
Because that would require a coach who actually knows what his team does well and his advantage. One that can develop and build something called a strategy .
