we will get maybe to 35 today in some spots so early cleanup not as bad as last storm but then down to around 20 tonight and tomorrow will be full blast winter cold even with sun temps will struggle to get out of the low 30s. After that we thaw out into the low 40s at least Tuesday-Thursday. I get there is a storm but its borderline precip issues so not going to worry about it. Friday approaches 50 and into the low 50s Saturday and Sunday with rain chances. Alot of this stuff will get melted and washed away by next Monday when we get another 2 day cold shot with highs in the low to mid 30s.

When is this crap going to end today?
They said late morning to early afternoon. Might get some flakes to late afternoon but the main stuff should be over in that window.

I’ll probably go out 11-12 to tackle it and hopefully by the time I finish the driveway the plows will be done and I can unblock the driveway.

I may have gotten more snow from this storm, but you got the best band of the night - that think just sat and rotted over you guys for hours.
we were only at 5.5 at 11 so from there to 5am went to like 15....yeah 2 inch an hour rates part of that

NWS-Philly preliminary reports; took out measurements from before 5 am as they're just outdated. NWS-NYC reported around 6:45 am and figure it's worth waiting until they update, although I did see that as of 7 am CPK had 15.1", LGA had 15.1, ISP had 22.5", EWR had 18.3" and JFK had 15.0".

Wow, from 1007 mbar to 966 mbar (strong Cat 2) over 24 hours, which is a 41 mbar drop vs. bombogenesis only requiring a 24 mbar drop in 24 hours. One of the strongest nor'easters we'll ever see.

Latest HRRR from 8 am onward showing 3-5" SE of the TPK (and north of about 8A). Some places in Monmouth will likely get close to 30" and maybe close to 35" on LI. GFS crushed all the other global models before the storm in insisting we'd have a major snowstorm and the HRRR did fantastic once the storm was imminent.

We have about 2 feet on top of the Hot Tub. Still snowing moderately. We did the driveway last night and did the backyard this morning so the dogs could do their business. This is a historic storm especially for the Jersey Shore. Pictures are impressive.

Same here on Staten Island. Snow is up past my knees on our front steps looking through our full glass storm door. Across the street there are drifts on cars that are sedans making them look like minivans.

Another Metuchen: 19 inches on the gravel in a windswept area. I’m betting over 20 already in the more protected grassy areas, just haven’t gotten there yet. First set of ski trails making dog happy.

Order of snow removal dog trails 1, sidewalks, gravel driveway, dog trails 2, then make a sledding hill using patio stairs and natural slope plus creating a gradient with snow.

Big Toro is handling the snow fine. Thank goodness,

5 days out but models are in agreement about a potential major storm for Sunday.

will it be snow, will it be rain, will it miss is to the south and west?

Figured I’d start a thread to track.

I have to take humble credit for starting this thread when lots of you were saying “no it’s way too early”.

models showed this “potential” for many days. Hence the thread. lol.

sorry - humble brag! Hope everyone cleans up ok!

not so bad..about 10" to a foot in Ringoes. Stopped by 6am this morning. calling for another 1-3 today but I don't see it. Screenshot_20260223_095440_Tuya.jpgScreenshot_20260223_095654_UBox (1).jpg

I've never ever seen snow fold over and hang before lol. Note the bottom left railing behind the BBQ grill.

I have to take humble credit for starting this thread when lots of you were saying “no it’s way too early”.

models showed this “potential” for many days. Hence the thread. lol.

sorry - humble brag! Hope everyone cleans up ok!
You might want to amend that, lol...

Freehold reporting 24 inches and Colts Neck/ Howell reporting 19 inches so I’m somewhere in that range.

TV 12 saying 1-3 inches for Wednesday and 4-8 inches for Friday.

What an awful winter !

Stay safe everyone !

I'm going with 11 inches here. Snow is lighter, not as wet as I expected. We are now at 34 degrees so will go back soon. Street looks great around here. So much better then the January storm.

As of 8:00 am, we're up to about 19.8", as we got 3.5" the last 2 hours, which is the best 2-hr snowfall rate of the storm (1.75" per hr). I say about because that's an educated guess at best with so much drifting. Love looking at heavy snow on furniture and trees, so here's a cool pic - that table has about 18" on it but definitely lost some due to the wind. Still 29F and the winds have relaxed a bit, only gusting to about 20-25 mph. Someone else in Metuchen reported 17.7" around 6 am when I had 16.3", so I'm guessing they have about 21" by now. Incredible storm.

As of 10 am, we're up to roughly 21.3", as we got 2" over the last 2 hours with a period in there of near whiteout conditions for about 10-15 minutes. What a storm! Oddly, snowfall has been light the past 10-15 minutes despite the radar looking good (no idea why - supposedly we could get another inch or two, but kind of doubting that). Up to 30F and the winds are now pretty light.

Just shoveled about 12 inches or so on our driveway and walkway. Definitely on the low end of estimates and nothing close to the nonsensical wishcasting from a few days ago. Can't complain! Plow just went by so the roads are mostly black.

Agreed. The warmer temps will serve us well! Should be in the upper 30s today with 40-50s soon.
