This snow report map was as of midnight. Since then I've seen reports of 16" in Freehold, 13" in AC, 15" in Staten Island, 11" at EWR at 1 am (so at least 13" now), with most locations along 95 and towards the coast reporting at least 10-12" through 1-2 am, with at least 8-12" more to come. And since that midnight report the death band has been over eastern Morris, much of Somerset, W Mercer, SE Bucks, then Philly and into SW NJ and DE and it's been dumping for a couple of hours. bac, and Rock must be buried or out plowing and T will claim there's no snow on the pavement.

Just went out and cleared around the cars here in Toms River. Seems about 12 inches non drift in the driveway. Kept getting covered right over. Bottom is heavy. Took about 45 min just to clear garage doors to about 20 feet out around the cars. Hoping my neighbor will hit rest of drive with plow later.

The beginning of the end has started. Snow in Reading, Lancaster and Allentown has ended. Once the storm exits it takes the freezing temps with it. At 5:50am Lancaster has hit 35 degrees. The temp in Philadelphia (not the Airport) pretty much stayed at 32 degrees through this storm.
The big difference with this storm and the last storm, is this snow won't be around forever. Temps will jump up to the high 30s today. Starting Wednesday temps in this area will be in the 40s and 50s on the weekend.
From the reports so far it looks like Lower Bucks got hit hard. Down the shore AC and Somers Point just reported 12in. They will be the last to see the end.

As of 3:00 am, we have 12.5" in Metuchen, so 1.7" the last 2 hours and that 12.5" is a guess. the area my board was in has drifted over, so I can't use that. In the past when this happens I try to take a bunch of measurements and average them, away from obvious drifts and scoured out areas, but it's tough. In the morning before the snow is over I'll take a ride (or walk, it's close) over to a local field and check there. Down to 29F. Also did my 3rd shovel of the storm - I do that every time we get to about 4" as that's a good number for me to shovel without crazy effort.
As of 5:00 am, when I started shoveling we had 14.5" and at 6:00 am when I was done shoveling we we have 16.3" in Metuchen, so 1.8" the past hour in the heaviest snow of the storm, pic with well less than 1/4 mile visibility is below; these numbers are kind of guesses with all the drifting. Just couldn't stay in the deathband long enough - have had great, consistent 1"+ per hour rates all night, but haven't cracked 2" per hr yet. Not complaining, as I'm happy about 16.2" and very likely making it to 20" (20.2" was my guess), but it would've been cool to see insane rates for an hour. Down to 29F and while not official, we've had a few gusts to 35 mph, but certainly not "frequent" so not quite a blizzard yet.

I’d say probably 12-14 in SB. Shoveled a few inches off the steps the blower can’t reach last night and probably another 10 inches this morning. The snow last night felt heavier than the snow this morning for whatever reason but it’s still wet and somewhat heavy.

Seems the same in Hopewell. It's crazy the differences between the time I went to bed and now. Like a different world.

Has to be 16-18 inches in Manasquan. Shoveled once last night. Going out around 8 for Round 2. Internet is out, which it never does.

Seems to have ended here in Belmont Hills. Just light flurries. Won't add to the amount. Cleared the steps. Took some measurements but because the driveway is blocked by Arborvitae it was anywhere from 6 to 10 inches.
Back in the house and having a hearty breakfast of potato waffles and some eggs before I go out and start moving some snow.

Just completed doing the Pee Path for the dog. Generally, 10 " +/- an inch in Ringoes (near Mavrode farms and Johanna Foods.

I have a,weather app that shows measured snow in any part of a city or town
In the Clifton/Montclair area it is right around 12 inches, but showing about 1.5 inches added in the past hour, so final amounts should be higher

Woodstown. Salem county. My very unscientific measurements came out to an average of 9. A far cry from 18-24 most people had. Can't say I'm surprised, we always say underperform down here. Maybe because the proximity to the Delaware river 🤷‍♂️

14" at 6 am here in Cranford. Still coming down. Cleared a path on my deck to let the dog out and have another inch or so since.

Howell, I'd say about 17-18". With a few more inches expected and it's really coming down now, we got pretty much what was expected. Nobody believed those early wish casting claims of 30"-36".

Got out to the animals, I'm not seeing this heavy wet snow. The snowblower had no problem moving this stuff. There's just a sh*t ton of it. And the shifting winds does not help as I ate snow all morning.

Freehold at 24 inches thus far looks to be the big winner...can they hit 30 or more?

Haven’t been out yet. But our dry areas under the carport have multiple inches. So I think there is infinity snow.

Heading out to make ski trails for the dog after having half a bagel.

View attachment 1196593

As of 8:00 am, we're up to about 19.8", as we got 3.5" the last 2 hours, which is the best 2-hr snowfall rate of the storm (1.75" per hr). I say about because that's an educated guess at best with so much drifting. Love looking at heavy snow on furniture and trees, so here's a cool pic - that table has about 18" on it but definitely lost some due to the wind. Still 29F and the winds have relaxed a bit, only gusting to about 20-25 mph. Someone else in Metuchen reported 17.7" around 6 am when I had 16.3", so I'm guessing they have about 21" by now. Incredible storm.

When is this crap going to end today?
depends where you are....definitely western sections are lightening up, we will have some light snow around with an inch or two but temps will rise above freezing later this morning. For the eastern part of the state a few more inches are likely even more when you go to the coast. Hopefully the bands pivot away quicker.

I may have gotten more snow from this storm, but you got the best band of the night - that think just sat and rotted over you guys for hours.
