Watch the game. They called 3 dam fouls on Wisconsin the 2nd half. Same exact thing happened when we played ISU. It’s ********.
I wasn't commenting on this game. Im talking about just about every game across all sports. Every fanbase does it and its annoying.

I'm not at all stating that some refs don't suck and that refs don't make bad calls.

I personally, can take a couple bad calls, but not repeated soft calls against one team and nothing on the other team like the second half of this game. The refs turned this game in the second half IMO.

Iowa has a really solid first half but they were on the road against a decent team. Honestly this game was pretty much a win and will nearly go down as a quad one win.

Sometimes it feels like this team doesn't give enough effort on offense. They always seem lackadaisical compared to a team like Wisconsin who were fast and aggressive.

Yes. Other than the tech, I didn’t think they called anything egregious against us. But it’s trash when Boyd gets to forearm shiver his was to the rack and just straight up not call anything against them.

I’m content with an equally trash whistle but this wasn’t that.

That’s what’s starting to settle in for me as the season winds down. Iowa has a legit all time talent and had nothing consistently go along with him all year.
Wish Dix would have stayed…have no idea if it was a money issue….

Would he be a little ***** if he played for Iowa? A real basketball fan appreciates good players, good games, good coaches. You only call him that because he played a great game against us
Wrong, did you see his antics all game? Smirking, cocking off, comments towards Iowa players all game.
Do you see any of our guys doing that this season? He had 27. Big deal.

I saw him spit all over his own chin in the first half.

In a perfect world...

"Let me start by giving credit to Greg Gard and his awesome team. In a rough and tumble league like the BIG, to go almost 12 minutes in the second half without committing 1 single foul. None. Not a single offensive foul using your forearm, Not a single foul for hand checking, not a single foul in the paint. Not one moving screen. None. That is truly remarkable. Wisconsin has always been known as a clean squad, they don't ever hold or hack. Never known to play a dirty game. I also want to give credit to the officials for clearly calling this game as it was. Almost 12 minutes without a single Wisconsin foul, in this league tells me that they were doing the job the way they were supposed to."

It will if anyone knows anything about the last 50 years or so of Iowa basketball. No need to wait . . .
Do you get it now? Wisconsin with what, 3 fouls in the ENTIRE second half, and none for what, about the first 12 minutes? LOL
Welcome to Iowa men's basketball on the road in the BIG. It's 8 on 5 every damn night, and it has been for at least the last half century. How about the tech on Iowa's Howard? The Wisconsin kid elbows him, then throws his shoulder into him--no call. So Howard responds in self defense and, whaddaya know--foul and technical foul. That's bullshitt, no matter how you spell it. But like I said, we knew that goin' in. But it doesn't make it right or any easier to accept.

It's not about how many fouls are called, it's about how many SHOULD have been called. They might call 20 on Wisconsin and 16 on Iowa, but if Iowa actually only committed 13 and Wisconsin committed 25, well, you do the math.
Again, told ya so . . .

The one call in the 2nd for me was when Tate tried to grab a loose ball. #7 comes barreling into Tate. Ball ends up out of bounds to Wisky. No foul there. Play on.
