I watched the first half. Very disappointing. Last year, with Thompson taking over as offensive coordinator, I thought the ball movement and off ball motion were such a positive improvement from the stagnant offense of the PCs couple years. They peaked too early, but showed promise. Today was back to 2024. Very weak shots on goal, easy saves by Jax goalie. Awful. Duffy has always been over rated, this is the year that breaks out in the open. Dom needs to move much more off ball than he does. Does not work hard enough to earn good shots, and does not create his own. Still looking for consistent middie offense. DiHarshbarger play in second half?
Specialist play was poor. FO was mediocre and goalie much less capable than Jax goalie.
defense, in first half anyway, looked good. Despite the announcer’s statement that Jax was destroying UNC in 6 on 6, they really played pretty well.

All even in ground balls, all even in face offs is embarrassing… UNC should crush Jax in gbs and faceoffs.
Biggest issues were ball movement, off ball motion on offense and goaltending. The offense had very little motion. Offense looked like 2024 all over again. Defense was pretty sound. Gave up fewer than 30 shots, I think? Forced turnovers. Ground balls were also frustrating, cause UNC should always win that battle against a non ACC team….
Offense is better without Duffy… and Dom needs to earn his shots by moving better off all. Show him tapes of Steph Curry…

Why doesn't coach let Thompson called the offense again this year? Has Thompson left? I thought the coaching staff was back from last year. When I listened to the interview, the HC did not mentioned anything about anyone on his coaching staff leaving.
They need to put the HC as a GM for our men's lacrosse team and hire another HC IMO.
Thompson is still there. Hopefully they are just knocking off the rust. The ball movement was great early last year…
So game 1 was like last yr in that respect I guess. Rather he just get healthy
I just hope this team can get it going and live up to the standards. This team has too much talent to be underachieving this season.
Duffy has really looked like his old self before the injuries today
I guess if there's nothing to complain about, there's nothing to say. 
That was a great, complete victory for the Heels. They outplayed Hopkins in every aspect of the game and did it while still being a little sloppy with the ball. Looking forward to next weekend. Penn and Princeton will be very tough games.

Not sure we are the best team, but this team will ranked number one this week. Big opportunity this week to prove it.
Penn should be a solid win on Fri but Princeton on Sun should be a top 10 matchup (after they beat Maryland); need to bring it!
I'm guessing that will be the second time in school history that the men's and women's lax teams will be ranked No. 1 at the same time. The 2016 teams both finished No. 1 but the men were ranked in the teens going into the NCAA Tournament.

Yeah, if it was the color commentator, he's a UPenn alum and Hall of Fame player. No surprise he's a Penn homer.
That broadcast was absurdly low rent in every respect. The announcers, the camera work, the audio, the graphics, etc. – just terrible.
