Trying to understand why Hull continues to bat 3rd. Forbes must know something.
Hulls swing is so frustrating I don’t get it
Jenkins gets both Gallaher and Hull to go down swinging on his cutter...it has a ton of drop with low positive IVB and low horizontal movement
I think a drop in the order is coming soon (maybe tomorrow). I appreciate Forbes not panicking and making Hull press…but it’s time. Heck…he did it with Honeycutt before.
Well, AVG aside he is 5th in the country in walks. He gets on base. Plus we know Forbes barely looks at average and instead at OBP and SLG
the name Walker really does have everything a pitcher doesn't want. Walk + ER.
the only worse pitcher name might be Homer.
Since I can’t watch, is Jenkins really pitching well, or are we just being impatient at the plate?
Pirates execute the sac bunt then hero of the day Grady Lenahan hits a three run bomb. ECU takes a 6-3 lead.
Walker really hasn’t been effective so far this year. Very very small sample size. But not nearly as much swing and miss and location has been a real issue.
Regardless not going to win many games with 3 hits
It doesn’t really matter because the kid went yard, but I think the 3B has to come get that bunt. Yes, he’s staying home for a play at 3rd, but when they bunt it hard towards 3rd, that play isn’t there and the play at first is easier for the 3B than the pitcher.
Except in rare situations (tie game, bottom of the 9th) it’s much more important to get an out than get the lead guy.

It does look like ECU may get a split in their 2026 World Series.
The weather doesn’t look great tomorrow, so I would be shocked if we get the game in. We need to bounce back and win this game. Dig deep boys!!!
Still 3 innings to come back, but there’s some hitters in this Heels order with paltry averages to start the season that probably need to move. Hull’s AB’s today are some of the worst you’ll ever see.
