Hello!

Was bored so gathered all the information for the post season for our current recruits. I have our current commits as:
2026: #8 Michael Mocco (#3 at 285), David Calkin (#4 at 215), Bobby Duffy (#11 at 144)
2027: #5 Paul Kenny (#3 at 126), Shamus Regan (#4 at 132), #14 Israel Borge (#4 at 138), #34 Dawson Youngblut (#19 at 144), #3 Joe Bachmann (#5 at 144), #24 Sonny Amato (#5 at 150)
2028: #6 Sean Kenny (113), #3 Freddy Bachmann (#5 at 126)
*first ranking is Flo Big Board for their respective class, second ranking is their Flo national ranking at their respective weight class*

Here is the information I gathered for their post-season across various states, most of the tournaments are on Trackwrestling or Flo, and I'll update as the events go on:

If anyone beats me to posting their results, thanks! Probably do a summary at the end of all 11 of their State runs (though I think Sean Kenny isn't going due to injury).

Regan and Youngblut's seasons end this weekend.

Appreciate all the great data and insight!

I’m curious to why Israel Borge didn’t wrestle at the OSSAA Team State tournament, he wrestled the week before against Broken Arrow.

Borge is one of my favorite recruits out of the 2027 crop! We finally got a good crop in recruits in the class of 27 and 28 should be just as good! We are finally in the right trend of recruiting.

  • 1st Place Match - Michael Mocco (Cardinal Gibbons) 46-0 won by fall over Maximilian Garzaro (Mater Lakes Academy) 21-7 (Fall 0:53)
Not sure if Peter Mocco will be a Hawk given his weight and close age to his brother... but:

Hopefully they all stay committed when Tom and all of the assistants are let go.

Some more context . He originally only weighed in as a decoy but they started at 126 and it ended up coming down to 120 and with one arm he majored a kid who will probably place in states in a few weeks. Kid is tough as nails , I hope he wins Sunday and comes back strong next year

Borge - Tech, Fall, Tech, into the Oklahoma 6A East Region Finals!

Calkins - Pin in round of 16 of North Coast Sectional in California. California only has 1 classification for State next week.

Regan - Fall, Tech, 1-0 Dec into Semi’s of National Preps!

Youngblut - Tech, Tech, Fall into Iowa State Finals

Paul Kenny, Sean Kenny, Bobby Duffy - all won their State Dual Semifinal match in NJ. Their team is going to State Duals Finals!

Mocco - 2 Falls for Florida District 14 Title

Amato - won his State Dual Semifinal Match in NJ. His team is also going to State Dual Finals (different classification to the Kenny’s tho).

Bachmanns - Districts is tomorrow!

Sean Kenny bumped up 2 weight classes to 132 and grinded out an 8-4 win over a region champ, he did take inj time in the 3rd period but I think that was more of a lung break then his shoulder , he didn’t even have it wrapped or braced

Bobby Duffy beat Rutgers commit DeGeorge 6-2 , degeorge is a state champ was ranked #1 coming in

Did Borge bump up a weight for the tournament or has he been wrestling at 144 recently? I thought he had been 138 all year

Kinda like the bump to 144. Looks like he wants to really challenge himself & will potentially have a huge championship match with Cornell commit, Verrette. Borge is the 2 seed & would've most certainly been the 1 seed at 138
