Interesting. I know several people that have interacted with him and found him to be quite nice... though one buddy dealt with both him and Patty and said she was a raving b-tch the first two times, then settled down.

Its also quite possible that people feel he's not a nice guy at the gym because he's there to work out and not take selfies, Much the same way many pro athletes and movie starts would prefer to be left alone when they are eating dinner or with their families.

Back to the movie though, just saw it last week. I wasn't the biggest fan of the movie. Just really dark (yeah, I know, it was a dark time in his life), and a bit awkward. The people just weren't believable other than Faye, who ironically was not a real person in his life but was a conglomerate of several women in his life.
I've interacted with him a number of times, when his daughter and my daughter rode together at horse shows. Just another horse show parent. Patty was more aloof.

Very strange thread. I was never a huge Springsteen fan but he has pretty much always embraced the left and he did come from a humble background. His music pretty much always followed that path. Because it made him rich, why would he change his views? Lose half his fanbase?
min tge other hand- do you all feel the same way about tge very outspoken Bobby Richie? Who grew up rich and has always been rich but pretty much created a persona that was anything but privileged. And he is just as politically outspoken…

My family came from dirt. I played in dirt as a kid. All my folks worked for places like the Home News, the Railroad, Johns Manville, drove trucks, etc. I was the first in a 150 year central jersey family tree to go to College and graduate. Heck, The only one still until my kids did. They were hard working patriotic Americans. That didn't make them left. They weren't left.

Who's Bobby Richie? The guy played by Will Farrell in the Race Car movie?

nah, it's more than that

also, a parent at an equestrian event isn't usually going to act like an entitled jack ***. spot with Patty, pure WT there.

He’s a member or has been a member (banned from multiple) of many gyms in Monmouth county. Not saying he’s not working out when he goes to the gym but goes to the gym for other activities (which lead to his bans)
Don't stop, keep going......

Watched it on the plane coming home from Switzerland. Not bad. Good insight on why he did Nebraska. The actor had Bruce’s body movements down. Not sure it made Bruce look like a good person though. Came off as shallow.

See lots of people who are quite happy, doing well and enjoying life. There are always things in this world that are dark and disturbing. Some choose to focus on the positives.

Bobby Ritchie is Kid Rock. The guy Will Ferrell played was Ricky Bobby.

No matter how fans of Bruce or not feel about the movie.
Its success, Greatness or Failure will determined by what all endeavors of such are determined by, how much profit did it make.

There is more fascination with the spectacle of Springsteen than the substance. Fans that are outraged by his liberal politics clearly have not actually been listening to his music.

who is outraged? kind of strong word. He basically called half his fanbase trash and his politics are awful. His movie didn't even hit the projected numbers in NJ of all places, wonder why. All some have said here is that you can't discount it and we've got tangible evidence from a litany of entertainers whose record/movies sales declined with increase in political stupidity

His success came off of two albums but the if you look at the production of work vs the where the value was derived, he's been irrelevant for a long time.

Think outraged is the wrong word. Maybe amused is a better word.
Besides, his party seems to have lost its grip on the "working people" of the world. You know, the ones one politician called these people a "basket of deplorables." The elites are living in the past--sailing around on David Geffen's yacht with their elitist politician friends who look down their noses at people who did not go to the same fancy schools and lap up the lies spewed by the NY Times. Not sure what they have done lately to help the "working man" that Bruce sang so eloquently about.

My word.. Disappointed. Which is my opinion and I'm sure means < .00000000000000000001 to him.

Received an email this morning that I’ll get my ticket(s) to the show at Pru. I expect Bruce to give a great show. It’s a short tour with little travel for him. He should be full energy.

Tried seeing Bruce twice in my life. Once I got free tickets last minute and didn’t realize it was an acoustic tour so I didn’t get to see the full experience. Second time I bought tickets early, then decided to move across country before the show so I sold the tickets. He ended up postponing the show for about a year so I had to refund the money and sit on the tickets for all that time before selling them again. Not meant to be for me

Wasn't going to say anything but currently doing work for them. This is pretty spot on. Although she wasn't a raging lunatic with us it wasn't a pleasant experience and he's very reserved, doesn't come off as a jerk.

On another note, I watched the movie and it was a slog to get through. Felt like I was watching it for an eternity as it dragged on. I don't think I'm going to tell them that one, it's not like I talk to them much anyway.

Funny you say that. Was on a conference call last week with a real estate analyst. Largest inflows of people making the move to NJ specifically Bergen/monmouth/somerset are Ca transplants.
Ca is bleeding tax payers including millionaires and billionaires, and moving in illegals and resource suckers. I really hope you all are ready to bail out Ca. They are so desperate, like NY, there is talk of taxing people to leave which is obviously illegal. It's not if. It's when this bailout comes. The finances around this state are corrupt mess at every level and the unfunded liabilities make it a mathematical certainty. Liberalism ruin everything it gets control over. Zero examples otherwise.

Inflows from Manhattan to Bergen and Morris (both have commuter rail) for a year now. Watch the floodgates open if Hochul doesn't meet Mamdani's demands and real estate taxes go up 9%.

Yea that’s natural to move from NYC to NJ. To move cross country and to be the largest inflow is not.
