I certainly hope this is not true.........My sources say that the assistants are fed up with Jan ignoring them. Coach Barrett is planning on leaving and taking Chat with her..
If that happens I’m burning my “Shoot that Chit” tshirt.

Google Sue Beckwith.Send me the link on what we spent on women’s bball vs other schools and I’ll be glad to take a seat. Everything else I posted about us being a tough place to recruit to stands. Which makes what we’ve built over the years more impressive.
I'm just trying to imagine how deranged someone has to be to use a win on the road against the number 14 team in the country who has only one other loss all season at home to support his argument for why he believes Jan Jensen is a terrible coach..I've finally realized that I'm trying to change the minds of a handful of fans who are defending someone that managed to piss away a 17 point lead in less than three minutes vs Maryland!
Maybe that's a bridge too far.
There are certain strategies that apply to all levels of basketball...from 3rd graders to middle school to high school to club ball to college.
Carry on, fanboys.

Jan Jensen is a good coach. Her struggles which are very common for first time HC in their couple is what's stopping her from being a great one. Shes an elite recruiter and now she has the funds to back her up. Iowa is reportedly top 5-7 in NIL funding in the country. Jan is also overachieving with this roster. It's 2026 she has 2 non-shooter guards, no guards who can create for themselves, no wings and she had this team ranked 8th at one point and is currently one of the top front-runners for COTY this year. It's time to respect Jan Jensen.^^^^
Spoken like someone that doesn't watch any games.
And I never said she was a terrible coach, just not a great one.

A legit coaching search was warranted.
Jenni is top shelf and would excel in IC.Since you advocated for Katie and Jennie when you started this thread how would you critique the jobs they have done this year?
Wasn't Katie the head coach of Georgia the year they played Iowa in the NCAA tournament? That was one of the dirtiest teams I've ever seen play Iowa. And then they've had a losing record for the last 2 seasons?Jenni is top shelf and would excel in IC.
Was my preference.
Katie would also do great with Iowa's reources.
Both would have been upgrades.
Like I've said all along, I don't look at anything in a vacuum other than results. The team is 20-5 and on pace for a 3 seed in the tournament. You're 100% negative all the time, making up shat like they have bad losses and have already slipped to a 4-5 seed or they won't sniff a sweet 16 or elite 8. It's just a stream of nonsensical negativity.^^^^

Neither have a USC level loss.
You call it "negatively".
I call it "objectively".
They beat Michigan next week at Carver and I'll change my POV.
So...let me get this straight...you're equating Oklahoma losing to #6 LSU and Iowa losing to a 16-9 USC team as being the same???Just for perspectives sake, Oklahoma was preseason top 10, Do you count their loss at home to LSU by 21 as a good loss?
I think Jennie is a very good coach and I think she would do well at Iowa, It appears to me that you have different standards to fit your feelings.
So one game is going to decide your feelings about the future of Iowa’s program? That sees rational.

WTF
There are no good losses.Do you consider losing at home to LSU by 21 a “good” loss? WTF
You are so full of it we all know you will be spouting the same crap win or lose as you have been all season. You clearly just have an axe to grind with Jan for some reason. You call it "negatively".
I call it "objectively".

Perhaps JJ's challenges are because she doesn't listen or trust her assts?

I'd actually call you untethered to "reality".You call it "negatively".

There’s no authentic source for such things but it’s generally accepted that we’re at LEAST top 10 in the country for overall WBB specific financial support.Source for top 5-7 in the country in NIL?
I've finally realized that I'm trying to change the minds of a handful of fans who are defending someone that managed to piss away a 17 point lead in less than three minutes vs Maryland!
BTW they had the ball down 3 midway through the 3rd. “Never” is a lie. There are no good losses.
BTW: Iowa was never even competitive in the USC game. That was a BAD loss.
So was the blowout loss at home to Minnesota.
Spin away, tho.
Perhaps JJ's challenges are because she doesn't listen or trust her assts?
Iowa has one now in Caitlin Clark. Hopefully she can help us in big-time recruit situations. There’s no authentic source for such things but it’s generally accepted that we’re at LEAST top 10 in the country for overall WBB specific financial support.
HOWEVER I do think Iowa lacks that general mega-donor type that can help in certain high profile situations. (Like OU dropping a million for Chavez).

I once saw a coach piss away an 11 point lead with less than a minute to go. I imagine you think Tom Izzo should be fired.
You have uniformly expressed supreme confidence in your strong POV regarding Jensen and her coaching ability, tirelessly defending your ironclad conclusions about her inherent deficiencies while denigrating others who would challenge or otherwise question their validity. They beat Michigan next week at Carver and I'll change my POV.
Conveniently left JennieB off your post.Somebody please get Katie Abrahamson on the phone. Make the case - save Iowa WBB!
JennieB!!! LOL.Conveniently left JennieB off your post.
Bravo.

So...I was impressed.So……
Seems like the right buttons have been pushed the past few weeks.Top 10 for three more days. Years don't matter when you hit the ground running with all the program momentum.
Hopefully they finish the season strong, just not feeling positive about the adjustments and pushing of the right buttons
