Iowa WBB is one of the most well funded programs in the country.
I'm just trying to imagine how deranged someone has to be to use a win on the road against the number 14 team in the country who has only one other loss all season at home to support his argument for why he believes Jan Jensen is a terrible coach..

Jan Jensen is a good coach. Her struggles which are very common for first time HC in their couple is what's stopping her from being a great one. Shes an elite recruiter and now she has the funds to back her up. Iowa is reportedly top 5-7 in NIL funding in the country. Jan is also overachieving with this roster. It's 2026 she has 2 non-shooter guards, no guards who can create for themselves, no wings and she had this team ranked 8th at one point and is currently one of the top front-runners for COTY this year. It's time to respect Jan Jensen.

I believe JJ's issues are Xs and Os. That shouldn't happen with someone that was a long time head asst.
Since you advocated for Katie and Jennie when you started this thread how would you critique the jobs they have done this year?
Jenni is top shelf and would excel in IC.

Wasn't Katie the head coach of Georgia the year they played Iowa in the NCAA tournament? That was one of the dirtiest teams I've ever seen play Iowa. And then they've had a losing record for the last 2 seasons?

Like I've said all along, I don't look at anything in a vacuum other than results. The team is 20-5 and on pace for a 3 seed in the tournament. You're 100% negative all the time, making up shat like they have bad losses and have already slipped to a 4-5 seed or they won't sniff a sweet 16 or elite 8. It's just a stream of nonsensical negativity.

I think Jennie is a very good coach and I think she would do well at Iowa, It appears to me that you have different standards to fit your feelings.

BTW: Iowa was never even competitive in the USC game. That was a BAD loss.
So was the blowout loss at home to Minnesota.

You are so full of it we all know you will be spouting the same crap win or lose as you have been all season. You clearly just have an axe to grind with Jan for some reason.
This is an interesting narrative that seems to be getting spun, Different assistant coaches are assigned scouts and game plans by Jan. (Pretty common practice). When timeouts are called the coaches immediately huddle, Then the majority of the time the assistant coach is in the huddle with the chalkboard laying out the plan. It seems to me Jan is indeed delegating and showing trust in her assistant coaches.
There’s no authentic source for such things but it’s generally accepted that we’re at LEAST top 10 in the country for overall WBB specific financial support.
HOWEVER I do think Iowa lacks that general mega-donor type that can help in certain high profile situations. (Like OU dropping a million for Chavez).
I once saw a coach piss away an 11 point lead with less than a minute to go. I imagine you think Tom Izzo should be fired.
BTW they had the ball down 3 midway through the 3rd. “Never” is a lie.
Iowa has one now in Caitlin Clark. Hopefully she can help us in big-time recruit situations.

You have uniformly expressed supreme confidence in your strong POV regarding Jensen and her coaching ability, tirelessly defending your ironclad conclusions about her inherent deficiencies while denigrating others who would challenge or otherwise question their validity.
Turns out you will wholly abandon your heretofore unassailable POV if the team defeats a higher ranked opponent (without any regard whatsoever as to any coaching decisions made/not made therein).

So...I was impressed.
Didn't watch much of the game as I was sitting in Waukee watching youth basketball.
What I did watch was a fantastic team effort.
Seems like the right buttons have been pushed the past few weeks.
