Landing the *checks notes* #26 edge rusher and #221 overall player in Anthony Jones, #44 defensive lineman and #359 overall player in Jahsear Whittington, and #108 defensive lineman and #969 overall player in Owen Stoudemire from the transfer portal (per 247 rankings) really shows me how lucky we are to have such high caliber players come to this program. Bravo Phat Stewart! Brav-effing-O!

To make matters worse, here's the On3 ratings:
Anthony Jones - #39 edge, #395 overall
Jashear Whittington - #52 DL, #466 overall
Owen Stoudemire - #176 DL, #1624 overall

Don't you dare fukcing tell us we were lucky to get them. Literally pissing on us and telling us to be grateful for rain.

Is it possible we have the m9ney, like he said.. we just couldn't get anyone with options to take it? Remember the old joke that somebody is so ugly you had to tie a pork chop around their neck to get the dog to play with you?

Rhule just said this in the press conference, to me that means we're still poorer

Rhule has no idea what he is doing...and I don't mean that as a big negative I just mean that he is out of his element.

He is a "Ra Ra" guy that loves the underdog type of kid that he can have in a program for 5 years.

He is not a cut throat coach, which is fine, most of us that coach are not built that way. It is why Dad coaches LOVE helping coach on game day but not during practice. It is why "Select" coaches only want to coach pre-made teams. Cutting kids/players is brutal. Rhule is not built for that.

I broke for lunch and decided to check out what was going on and now I'm like seriously fired up... I just invested in flights, tickets and the Airbnb to watch the game in Eugene and now I'm questioning that decision... When will this team ever be remotely taken seriously again?

The staff is like some JV staff. Like, with no plan or no ideas. It is crazy.

Do they even have practice plans?

I'm gonna lose it... "No Clue" what our team can do best???? W T F

Kong... I apologize if I was ever a Dick for you questioning things
Do you remember TO‘s press conference? He was pretty vague usually said we have work to do we could be a good team. I really don’t have a problem with the press conference, I did find it interesting that Dana didn’t mention Dylan but reading between the lines it sounded like Dylan didn’t really practice much

oh goodness, why would you spend all that money to go watch that massacre? Although, miracles do happen. Granted, I would like to check out a game in Eugene one day. I've heard the atmosphere is awesome. But I'd go when they're playing someone I don't care about lol

I agree with you, but how was he able to do it at Temple and Baylor? Just different times and his way could work back then?

Yes, you could spend time developing under looked athletes and they typically didn't transfer in the numbers we see now. Evan Cooper and him looked for diamonds in the rough and raw athletes back then.

WTF?!?! This is like Satterfield's response when he was asked, as OC, what his target number was for yards-per-play, but then didn't seem to know what a good yards-per-play number was. Like actually stumped.

I actually felt bad for him, but if you don't have the confidence to give a confident number (even if it's wrong) & at least sound like you know what you're talking about, that's a problem.

Different times in the sense that you could have your players for 3-5 years and actually have an accurate take on a 4-year plan and recruit accordingly. With that, Temple was in the AAC (objectively an easy conference) and his good year at Baylor the Big 12 was all around not good. And its not like his team was a barn burner either. They just knew how to win close games.

Iowa State (5-4 Big 12) W 23-21
Kansas State (5-4) W 31-12
Texas Tech (2-7) W 33-30 2OT
Oklahoma State (5-4) W 45-27
West Virginia (3-6) W 187-14
TCU (3-6) W 29-23 3OT
10 Oklahoma (8-1) L 34-31
Texas (5-4) W 24-10
Kansas (1-8) W 61-6
6 Oklahoma (8-1) L 30-23 OT

True, but I don't think TO flat out said, "I don't know" when asked questions unless it was an opinion question.

Because, Politics aside, I've always had an infatuation with the PNW, it's gorgeous up there... I've been a Seahawks fan since I was a kid when they were in the AFC West. When the Ducks & Huskies were announced to the B1G I made up my mind right then and there that I would make it to both stadiums to watch a game... This will most likely be a slaughter but at least I'll have fun doing it... "Football Sadomasochism" at its finest

That's pretty awesome. I haven't been to the PNW in 30 years since I was a kid when we lived in Spokane for a year while my mom was stationed there, but it is absolutely gorgeous and I intend to get there in the next couple years to run a marathon in OR, WA, ID. I also want to visit the redwoods in NorCal. Congrats on your Seahawks btw! Sam Darnold went to my HS quite a few years after I left but I was rooting for yall for that reason.

"The Huskers are reverting course from their morning practice schedule. The Huskers had been practicing in the mornings since the fall of 2018. But moving forward, Nebraska football will practice in the afternoons from roughly 2:30 to 6:30. That’s not just a change for the spring, but that’s the plan moving forward for the fall, too.

“I’ve done it both ways,” Rhule said. “Doesn’t really matter to me, necessarily, but the impact of travel is — this will be a one bye week year. A great friend of mine [Texas Tech head coach] Joey McGuire, he made that change, I think last year or the year [before]. Just him sharing with me why he did it. So, it was something we talked to our doctors about, our sports science about, everybody. And then just ultimately made that call.”

Seems like it's half and half across the country for morning or afternoon so don't know if it'll make any tangible difference 🤷‍♂️.

Yup, totally get the schedule wasnt daunting, but what he started with at Baylor (losing what, 2/3 of his team in a non-portal era) was impressive.

Yes, Temple played in the AAC, but Temple also had AAC level players. It's not like Temple was a dominant program.

I think your first sentence nails my question.

That's our problem. All this time we've been practicing in the mornings when we should've been practicing in the afternoons.

Good lord, this ******* guy.

Amazing that ever HS in America can practice at 3pm each day and things are just fine. But these finely tuned D1 players might need to be in the morning or the afternoon or early evening.

These ******* college coaches are getting insane.
