Find yourself someone who will defend you as vigorously as Dehere defends St John’s. I do admire his/her commitment.

I actually agree with your last point in that I don't think he is peak Kentucky/Louisville Pitino, nor can he be because of various factors, including age, the new landscape, and what those programs can be at their ceilings compared to where he is now. I still think he's better than most, and what he's done their to rebuild a program that was mediocre to bad for a long, long time is remarkable when you consider what he's accomplished in 3 years on and off the court (the latter being perhaps even more impressive).
They won the Big East Regular Season title by 3 games last year, and rolled to the BET Title. He had a rough draw in 2nd round against an uber talented Arkansas team that was finally getting healthy (just tough matchup). In addition, a couple of rough calls against Kadary and no show from RJ Luis. If they survived Arkansas, there was no reason they could not have gotten to FF.

And while he struggled early this year, they are cleaning up in bad big east again. Before we write him off, let's see how he does in tournament this year. As much as i don't like him, i would never bet against him. And as far as not being peak Kentucky/Louisville, it is very tough when you have a new team every year. Nonetheless, you just have to look at the development of his players last year from Year 1 to year 2 and you realize what he could do if he had 2 -3 years with same team.

Yup. I don’t disagree with anything you said. I didn’t say it in as much detail because then the trolls on here will start with the St John’s police stuff and all that garbage (again not Boomer because he isn’t that). We are allowed to speak facts and objectively about every coach and team in college basketball except them, apparently.
