Honestly makes sense. They have been blowing out everyone
Yes! Also everything is worth crying over if it's not a unicorn and a puppy in my backyard!Man, so glad we can lose our way to the Final Four in the tournament now!
9:seed lezzz goooo!
Down 3 potential starters and playing hard; close loss to one of the best teams in the country on their home floor... l can live with it. Seems to be moving in a good direction. I choose to support the team that I love, not hope they lose so I can trash them and their coach.9:seed lezzz goooo!
Actually this is wrong Kentucky started the day before any games were played at 27th they are still 27th
It didn’t. Those Kenpom numbers are per 100 possessions. So +11 becomes like +7.5. Then add another 3 points or so for homecourt.I think Kenpom had us as a bigger dog than the vegas spread. So we actually overperformed.
Pope still has a lot of questions to answer and at this point unless he wins out or wins the whole damn thing, those questions will remain after the season. But todays game actually gives reasons for optimism for the rest of THIS season at least.
Bruh, I'm just being a hyperbolic smartass.Yes! Also everything is worth crying over if it's not a unicorn and a puppy in my backyard!

Cool but just so I understand: your basic argument here is it would have been better if our Kenpom rating had dropped after losing to UF. I miss anything?9:seed lezzz goooo!
Not at all. I'm actually happy we're going to make the tournament. For a moment it looked like we were cooked. Pope has earned a third year.Cool but just so I understand: your basic argument here is it would have been better if our Kenpom rating had dropped after losing to UF. I miss anything?
Fair enough. I admit I only compared our rating after Kenpom calculated our game results to that snapshot of our ratings from Monday since that’s all the internet archive had available. It’s certainly interesting that some midweek games had that big an effect on our rating while our losing to a top 15 team head to head had no effect at all apparently. Either way no news is good news as far as a loss in the toughest game we had remaining not hurting our Kenpom rating at all. Now it’s just about how we do in more winnable scenarios, which was what it was about all along the way I predicted it.Actually this is wrong Kentucky started the day before any games were played at 27th they are still 27th
They were 31st last week but even without playing they moved up to 27th during other teams games
This is a season that has made all of us hyperbolic my brotherBruh, I'm just being a hyperbolic smartass.
You da man. Your common sense approach is welcomed.Down 3 potential starters and playing hard; close loss to one of the best teams in the country on their home floor... l can live with it. WOW that’s wild! That’s not gonna happen I don’t think. So, if we win say 5/6 or win out, do we move up considerably, since it’s predicting we lose 4/6?!and yet KENPOM still has us losing 4 of our last 6

Yeah that should do it. Then add 3 points or so for homecourt.Ahh okay. I should have realized that. So when I look at the difference between 2 teams on Kenpom, one would have to take into account the two teams average possessions per game, divide those 2 numbers by 100, average the two numbers i guess? and then multiply that by the difference in Net Efficiency on Kenpom to get what Kenpoms predicted outcome would be?
(Asking you because you’re clearly a numbers person)
Some of them want to saddle Pope with Cal's last four or five years and blame their "we're becoming Indiana" on Pope. You da man. Your common sense approach is welcomed.
Just can’t figure why some UK fans can’t give CMP a bit of time? It takes times for coaches.
I have to admire the fans of programs that extend patience and are 100% behind their program like the U Conn fans. Stayed behind Hurley through 4 poor years.
Our rating raises considerably which should raise us in the rankings considerably, other teams ratings will fluctuate some as well.WOW that’s wild! That’s not gonna happen I don’t think. So, if we win say 5/6 or win out, do we move up considerably, since it’s predicting we lose 4/6?!
