Florida should be called for 3 in the key 80% of possessions. I have it in Replay and have counted 7+ seconds 22 times this game and 10+ seconds 4 times. Not called even once. Blatant cheating not to mention the foul discrepancy once we cut it close.

A lot of this is due to Pope not working the officials. You can’t stand there with your thumb up your *** while the team fouls are so uneven. Todd Golden has gotten every call he wants by working the officials dropping f bomb after f bomb!!!

Well, you kinda have to play weak and timid when the officiating heavily favors the other team calling a foul if you sneeze on them and you have to get tackled or rammed to the floor to get a call. I don't think I've ever seen a team be in the bonus as early as Florida was in the 2nd Half today. Did we ever get to the bonus the entire 2nd half today ? You just have to laugh at it. We cut that lead down to 43-41 and the zebras stepped in for Florida in a big, possibly never seen before way. I'm pretty sure Florida was in the bonus 5 and a half minutes into the 2nd Half. I've also never seen another team get home cooked/hosed by the officials, let alone any of the other blue bloods like UK got home cooked/hosed by the officials in Rupp Arena last weekend vs. UT. I'm not sure how UK got a W in that one. Not to mention how many times that Florida goof with a **** haircut got away with traveling today, which lead to Florida threes and UK fouls.

It seems like some of these refs do have a grudge against Kentucky. What makes it even more of a problem is that Kentucky fans making noise about it just seems to make them more determined to screw us. After all, there is no accountability so they can do what they want.

I've seen a lot worse. Even this year I've seen worse (against UK). This one seemed average (except for MoD fouling the Florida player as he was falling away from the guy not touching him due to being pulled down by his jersey).

At one point in the 2nd half, foul total was 11-4 in favor of Fla. It was like watching a middle school with all the whistles then every time they fell down it was on us. Big time D1 athletes and these guys call every touch, no flow to the game cause they set moving screens out front and and just stood in the lane. Pope has got to get after their incompetence in games like this, I know we fouled but every drive for us was hands pushing then reaching in. He’s got to be more aggressive and work them like others have said.

Golden crossed the line from working the officials to bullying them, chasing them out on the floor the way he did multiple times, getting in their way. blocking play to get his timeout called when he didn't have the right to call one etc.

It was pretty badly officiated. I would argue that last year’s at Georgia game was worse than this one.

In my opinion the worst two officiate games I’ve ever seen:

2017: Kentucky/North Carolina NCAA elite eight game. I don’t think I need to add any context to this.

2015: Wisconsin/Duke championship game. It was insane the whistle Duke got in that game. Wisconsin was the better team, you can’t tell me Vegas didn’t have something to do with that one. It was well known that if Duke won the championship that year, Vegas was gonna win big-time. I’ve never seen a more lopsided officiated game than that one, it was insane.

1. UF player obviously double dribbled
2. Golden runs out and calls time out after we threw ball in bounds. Should have been Technical foul on Golden

There were some games under Cal where we were absolutely robbed. Its one thing if the other team shoots 20 more free throws... ive become used to that with Kentucky and college ball lately.

But the Wisconsin shot clock violation, the shabazz Napier flop, fouling out 5 guys @Unc in 2010, UNC in 2017, the Humphries technical, the LSU goal tend and countless other games were unexplainable and inexplicable stuff happened to prevent us from getting a win.

I dont think its an exaggeration to say Kentucky has been robbed of nearly 20 wins since 2010.. and a lot of those prevented us from getting a title, final4, etc.

Another one that gets forgotten, is the Elite Eight vs Auburn in I believe 2019. Auburn was called for 1 foul in the second half of a game that went to overtime. ONE.

It's a major reason why I don't watch college basketball anymore. I used to watch so much more basketball - and not just UK games either. All the big rivalry games, most everything between ranked teams, any tourney game I could fit into my schedule.

Officials were rarely great, but it just never seemed blatantly unfair. It was a bit like baseball used to be I guess - sure the ump misses some, but if he's consistent then teams can adjust.

But about 15-20yrs ago everything changed. I don't know if it's gambling or what, but other sports chose to deal with it. Baseball is implementing ABS and has cameras everywhere (in the bases, over the plate, etc) with a review team in NY, tennis went full auto-officiating, most important plays in football and soccer are reviewed and they have cameras everywhere too, hockey reviews a ton these days and they've historically been a hands-off sport.

Basketball reviews sometimes, but even if you win a challenge, you lose! It's insane to me that even if you win and the call is overturned, you still lose your opportunity to challenge after you catch 2 missed calls! And don't get me started on how some coaches practically get unlimited reviews just by whining enough. And refs who pick and choose which plays they deem review-worthy. It's just become another tool to manipulate the outcome in basketball.

It's just all too much for me - I don't gamble and I just want to watch a good contest. But these days the sporting body has to want it badly enough to implement appropriate controls - the NCAA just doesn't think basketball is worth it, so my interest has gone to those sports that care.
