Down 7-0
given up 2 minutes of riding time.
You choose DOWN?
Mich St is strange, wouldn't u choose neutral if you want to win
Yeah. Not just MSU though. It's stupid old school mentality of you gotta get out from bottom, rather than putting the wrestler in their best position.

Uninspiring effort from Smith.

I see nothing from Gibson that says he will ever be a quality wrestler in the B1G. He just lost to a kid who was 4-11 and pulled from the lineup for giving up so many bonus points.

He's a D1 kid wrestling for your alma mater have some class. Not everyone is gonna AA . But he trains everyday and puts in the work and you should know how hard that is. If you think he sucks whatever but saying it on the forums is BS
Class? Lol!! Good luck with that! I do agree with you 100% by the way. Plus Toranzo has provided a top 3 memorable moment for this season.

Toranzo should be shooting that blast double every time he touches the mat and if he doesnt then he shouldn’t touch the mat bc it’s ugly without it

They should have 2-4 exhibition matches every dual. The backups put in a ton of work and deserve the big stage and more matches. D3 is great about having a bunch of extra/exhibition matches at tris, quads and dual tournaments, that count on your record, but even they could have more for standalone duals. If there are still any silly NCAA travel rules making this harder for D1, those rules should be long gone by now.

I agree on the exhibition matches. Get a couple of those in each dual. It's good for guy's development.

He lets it fly and is good on his feet. I'm interested to see how he does at 133 and if he can reign in some of the crazy stuff.

Bouzakis was a hammer in high school. He went 133 in college and didn't meet expectations. Now at 125, he's back to being a top wrestler at #2. He just lost in OT to Lilledahl. Gibson is having trouble at 141 and tiring in the 3rd. I do believe what most others have said; he needs to be at 133. It could make a world of difference. However, if Knox chooses 133 and Harer chooses 141, I'm afraid Gibson will have nowhere to go. That could be said for Parkins as well. They are both talented. If Knox goes 125, then Smith has no seat. If Knox doesn't end up coming, all is well for the other guys.

Knox should choose 125 as 133 is insanely stacked.

133 should clear out quite a bit , Jax, Davino, Larkin , Frost and Blaze will all most likely be 141, Ayala and Bryd gone.. Seidel will be still be 133, either Ono or Desmond for Penn State and probably Bouzakis moving up

Why do you think they all move up to 141? I'd guess some will stay but it depends on how much they grow and want to cut.

Davino has a big cut and the plan was always for him to move up to 141 when Mendez is gone. Penn State plan is to wrestle Blaze one year at 133 then move up to 141, Desmond or Ono will be 133
Frost is waiting for Echemendia to graduate to move up to 141
Larkin has had a few matches off for weight related reasons already this year
Im not sure what Oklahoma state plans are for Jax but before he arrived I saw a lot of others saying this will be his only year at 133

Not to mention Knox is also an alpha in the same tier as all of those guys. He can beat any of them if he fills out the weight.

Knox can beat all of them but they all can also beat Knox and neither results would be surprising as of now.. even if all these move up happens, which I don’t think it will. 133 will still be returning Crookham and 125 graduates a lot of guys.

NJwrestle, sounds really certain Blaze will go 141 next year but what I don’t get is if that’s the case and the cut is too much why didn’t he just go 141 this year and have Davis(a 125 pounder trying to wrestle at 141 ;)) and Desmond go 133 this year?? Either way whoever PSU has at 133 next year whether Blaze or Ono will be in the title hunt.

Nagao was penn state 141 starter this year and Blaze wanted to go right away and his best weight to win a title this season is 133 And Blaze beat Desmond in wrestle offs. Davis was supposed to redshirt, Cael announced that last spring , this is the second time Davis had his redshirt pulled . He was supposed to RS his freshman year but Howard retired 6 matches into the season and now for Nagao. They ve wanted to redshirt Davis since he got there.

Davino and Blaze will 100 percent be 141 next season and Ono or Desmond will be 133 for PSU.
Frost and the new Cuban Iowa state got will be 133/141. Frost is pretty big 133 already but we’ll see how that shakes out. Go on the Penn state board and ask and I guarantee everyone of them will tell you blaze is going 141 next year and may end up a 149 before he graduates.

Crookham has had a season ending injury in 3 of the last 5 seasons, another one of those seasons he wrestled just 9 matches in redshirt. 1 full season (24 matches) and he was banged up that year too. 4 years in college he’s wrestled a total 45 matches. Back to back season ending injuries ,he’s wrestled 11 total matches combined the past 2 years. Crookham is officially in the I have to see it to believe it territory because the guy seems to be made of glass or has to have the worst luck in the world and you can’t count on him to be around come postseason.

Alot of 125s graduate and the only one returning that I see moving up is Bouzakis. Knox is a Bassett level recruit he should be in the mix at either 125 or 133. 125 might be his best chance to win if Seidel and Jax are at 133 but Rutgers line up is best with Smith at 125 and Knox at 133

Best line up dual and tournament wise would be
125 Smith
133 Knox
141 Harer/Nini
149 Harer /Nini
157 Harer

I see Knox doing what is best for him. Do we know Nini is better than Parkins and Magro?

I disagree with ya on Knox’s best chances to win a title being at 133 over 125. If his best weight is 125 he should just go that weight and let Smith/Gibson whoever else figure out 133.

Nagao woulda wrestled off Davis to see who started at 141 they are not far off in abilities.. if even at all….Davis would only RS if he can’t beat Nagao.. and imo this will be his last year to start for awhile ,if ever,so no point RS unless he plans to transfer out, if u can win the spot then u go.

Don’t get your logic on “if Blaze wanted to go right away” then he had to go 133 this year.. if Blaze went 141 he’s beating Nagao. Woulda honestly made more sense for him to go 141 this year and Nagao go 133 as that’s the weight he AA at. 141 has Mendez but 133 is the tougher overall weight. That’s why I don’t understand why you are 100% Blaze can’t hold 133 ever again. Anyways even if he can’t Ono is a title contender apparently at 133/141. Also why do u just assume Bouzakis will be moving back up to 133 when he’s had so much success at 125 this year. If Bouzakis moves up to 133, then great more reason to go 125, assuming that’s Knox’s best natural weight.
