I think it is a problem for the better Big East programs right now, which is why the top dogs keep emphasizing everyone else to get their s&&& together. The Big East was founded on the premise of a "rising tide lifts all boats", which is why there was so much pride when programs like the Hall and Providence made Final 4 runs in the late 80s, or even when Uconn ascended under Calhoun.

Although I would assume the Uconn game "counts". But what do I know.
