Deal came out at the same time as Ava after a nice assist to Ava and hitting a three, and that was just about 3 minutes into the game. We were up 14-6 or 8. Made no sense at all...

Deal hit a 3 @ 7:51
Heiden came out @ 6:29
Deal came out @ 5:39 when it was 14-9

I think Kylie is a good player but am baffled at why she's been getting so many minutes. In the past 3 games she's averaging 28 minutes, and her total production has been 6 points on 13% FG shooting, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 7 turnovers. That's playing a total of 85 minutes across 3 games.

So they are then pressed to play hard defense & they almost get back into the game. Where was this the first 30 minutes?
this is what concerns me about JJ, she does not seem to have/want to change her game approach on the fly IMO. Not defense, not offense, not ball pressure, not substituting patterns. until she is desperate when it is too late.

Because we have no 3 pt. Threat without McCabe, Deal has to play to create that threat, also, Heidens 4th foul was critical, no way the defender was set this took 3 points off the board with 90 seconds left. This counts with Deal also still in the game makes it a ?
Chit-Chat is an excellent three-point shooter, but Iowa almost never sets screens or does anything to get her open. The Iowa offense needs to be significantly reworked over this next week, with one goal being to get Chit-Chat 10-15 three-point shots a game.

14-6.........2 minutes later it was 14-13. Stick w/ what's working. It's almost like she thinks 'well, i'll just put the starters back in to get the lead back".....not happening......Bluder subbed like that too - makes no sense.

Don't feel bad, you're not the only one on here that posts inaccurate info.
Oh, I don't feel bad at all, except maybe for some key board warrior that spends his free time correcting someone about 45-50 seconds difference in when a substitution was made, like it made any difference in the statement. Obviously some people have too much time on their hands

Jan is dead set on playing KF as many minutes as possible for some reason, it's mind boggling. Kylie seems to be a very good person but she isn't a very good bb player. Playing her as much as jan does tells me alot about her coaching abilities. KF would get very few if any minutes with most other teams in the big

After watching Ben's team get dominated in the last couple of games early on, and he (or his staff) make changes and turn the game into a win.....I'm thinking that is a huge piece that got him the head coaching job. The ability to form a game plan and change on the fly if it doesn't pan out.

Not sure how many people actually were interviewed for the women's job, but I'm wondering if we missed a coach who had that same ability as Ben. I'm really not sure we have one that can right now. Coaching proper techniques for post players doesn't automatically translate to being able to coach/manage a team. Hopefully I'm wrong but there's a lot of talent that might not make it far in the tourney without a game plan.
Ok, take Stirtz out of his lineup.. I'm not saying you are wrong but the women don't have a person anywhere near what he brings to the game.

I'm not seeing anything that leads me to believe JJ will figure this mess out.

Totally lost on the sideline.

Should've at least made it look like they did a legitimate coaching search when Bluder retired. All because they were afraid of losing Addie Deal?????

If you're serious about maintaining a strong program with Iowa's resources, hiring JJ was a lazy move and it's looking like a huge blunder.
We get it you hate the job JJ is doing. You wanted an open search. It didn't happen. Move on.

The only restriction is directly under the cylinder. It is unmarked.
I thought the cylinder worked ok. Can a defender stand directly under the basket and take a charge or is that an automatic block? If not it should be.

The defender can't take a charge. I don't think a foul is called either way unless the defender wasn't stationary. It's only a block if the defender wasn't established.
