Owen would not have played for Ben McCollum. He would be on the bench just like at Creighton.
And Ben was not going to pay him $1.8 to $2.0M
I can't believe I just typed that.
LOL

Dix is having a solid season for Creighton. Are any players, save for Sandfort, having good years at all??? I know the bigger names like Dix, Freeman, and Harding are having bad years on bad teams, but haven’t really followed many of the other guys that left.

Dix is probably being asked to do too much and his shooting numbers are down on the worst Creighton basketball team maybe of the century. It’s hard to imagine where Creighton would be without Dix. Harding has contributed but his numbers are bad and TCU has fallen apart, granted they are playing a Big 12 gauntlet schedule.Dix is having a solid season for Creighton.
Hardy has contributed at TCU.
Otherwise: so-so
I’m kind of going of what they did last year and expected with new team. I’d say dix is doing about what creighton expected avg 12-13 a game but rest of team has been a disappointment. Freeman has been a disaster. Rated top 10 transfer and now not starting and minutes are under 15 a game, huge bust. Question is where he goes next year. Harding i’d say doing pretty well about where you’d think. 8.5 ppg and 6 ast but playing 30 min a game. TCU bottom half team. Same with traore 9 ppg pretty good but Utah is awful. I believe Dembele is hurt so he’s to be determined next year. Are any players, save for Sandfort, having good years at all??? Harding leads the team in minutes and assists, 9 pt average. He's not a scorer so that's hardly badDix is probably being asked to do too much and his shooting numbers are way down on the worst Creighton basketball team maybe of the century. It’s bad to shoot 39% from the floor, 59% from the line, and 27% from three. That’s Connor McCaffrey bad.Harding leads the team in minutes and assists, 9 pt average. He's not a scorer so that's hardly bad
Imagine paying millions for what Freeman brought to Creighton this year. Crazy.Well Dix and Freeman will miss the dance again. Ben wasn't interested in Freeman, could have made Dix better but couldn't afford hom.
My quick ranking of "success" at other schools:
Only Pryce Sandfort's team is projected to make the NCAA tournament. Only the top 4 above and Carter Kingsbury play more than 20 minutes per game.
- Pryce Sandfort (Nebraska)
- Brock Harding (TCU)
- Josh Dix (Creighton)
- Seydou Traore (Utah)
- Owen Freeman (Creighton)
- Carter Kingsbury (Citadel)
- Riley Mulvey (Siena)
- Ladji Dembele (UNLV)
- Chris Tadjo (Santa Clara - has not played)
