Ben’s timeout approach still makes no sense to me. He knows way more hoops then me of course but he calls the timeout giving a very good coach the opportunity to draw up an offensive play right before the TV timeout.

Coach Ben McCollum uses timeouts after made baskets primarily to manage game feel, allowing his team to rest, adjust to opponent runs, or capitalize on momentum to prevent the opposing team from getting energized.
