To be perfectly honest his defense is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be!! I hate how people always hate on him. He is a terrific rebounder you can see how he just tracks the ball so well and he is always in the right spot. Trent played a great game.

He got matched up with Thomas, Acuff & Wagner and different times tonight who all tried to attack him. Forced a turnover on Acuff, Wagner shot over the basket on an drive and Thomas missed a fadeaway in the paint. Those are tough coverages for anyone and he held his own. He’s gonna get scored on. All our guys do. But he’s always in the right spot on rotations and fights.
33% from the field, 2 fouls, 0 assists. If those added to the 7 rebounds is fantastic then we are going all the way. On his defense you can watch any quick player go by him while he watches. Happened all year. Fantastic just isn’t what he is…or he’d be consistent which he is not.
Everyone can't be your best player. He's a good out of area rebounder and creates spacing. Helped us win the game tonight. Arkansas could use a few more shooters too. We didn't even care if most of their team shot a 3. That's a spacing killer. Even if his stats don't show it, I guarantee he's a have to close out on him player on other teams scouting report. Arkansas never helped out with his man all night.
