If we can sweep (or possibly one loss) our next 5 and then win 2 of Purdue(H), Neb(H), Mich(H), Neb(A) to close out, I think we've got a shot at the 6.

Tomorrow is huge would be a Quad 1 win. Iowa's resume weakness Is quad 1 wins and NC SOS. If we can get to 4 quad 1 wins I like are chances to be off 8/9 line.

I’m as interested in the Big 10 tourney, which is always a blast. Attended it many times when I lived in Indy.

Ypu guys familiar with that Big 10 tourney predictor online calculator that has real time seeding and brackets? Really cool.

The last paragraph: Iowa is now 5-4 away from home (not including DSM) and zero losses in quads 2-4. Absolutely massive resume night.

The latest bracket on3 today has Iowa as a 6 seed with a great path...Tulsa,Florida,Houston, Michigan.....freeze this ..I would like this set up for hawks to make 16...and possibly better.

Out of those 4 teams, the one I would fear the most is Houston. They are #2 in scoring defense and we are #4. They are #126 in scoring offense and we are #145. They are #7 in ast/turnover ratio and we are #36. They are #23 in offensive rebounds and we are #333. They are #160 in FG% and we are #12 (the edge goes to us here).

Here is an article saying that CBS is currently projecting Iowa as a 5 seed.
There is still a lot of basketball to be played so who knows where we will end up. Still, if we can play well down the stretch I don't think a 5 seed is out of reach.

1st objective is make the tourney. Win the next 2 games and they are locks. They could probably lose out and still make it give how relatively weak the bubble is this year. Last 6-8 teams in the field will be yuck. Slip up tomorrow and/or against MD and margin for error drops.

2nd objective would be to avoid 4/5 and 8/9 seed. So it’s a bit of a delicate dance.

I would love for hawks to get to 4/5 seed.
If they can win vs a 13 seed then vs 5 seed, playing a #1seed in sweet sixteen round is fine by me.
I just want to get that 16 round...not easy if you are playing a 2 seed in round 2.

No chance if we were an 8 seed we'd be opposite ISU. I think we will end up 5-7. We have a real good chance in our upcoming games to establish our seeding.
