Kentucky fans are the most obsessed and passionate fan base in the country, and they’re obsessed with the coach they had for 15 years. Arkansas is no different than any other decent but relatively obscure basketball program. Kentucky fans have many other rivals and interests—Duke, UNC, Kansas, UCLA, UConn, Louisville, Tennessee, Indiana, etc.

If you polled UK fans about their top rivals before Cal left, Arkansas would be like 15th or something, and that’s only because they’re in the conference. But they’re like, “Y’all are so obsessed with Arkansas” LMAO.

It gives off major “Hey, please think about us—and don’t make it about Calipari, make it about us!” vibes.

I’d love to beat the hell out of Arkansas eventhough I’m not expecting a win at all. I did not care at all about Cal and some of the players going to Arkansas but it sucked losing Thiero.
What was really bothersome to me was some of our players even our very own in state born and raised was rocking Hogs gear. Like a slap in the face and to me that’s the only thing that I had some rival worth content to dwell on.
I appreciate the Calipari run here and how he put Kentucky back on top. Then again he made it all about himself in the end and we suffered for it.
Now at Arkansas he’s back to being his old self and seems a lot healthier and happier. I swear he aged 20 years in the 5 years here and I was honestly worried about him. Like showing signs of dementia. I never wish ill will on nobody and glad to see him and Ellen doing good. That being said we owe Arkansas a vengeful beating but it’s just not gonna happen.

Why do we play the season? We should just play the NCAA tournament. All the haters want to say he won 1 NCAA Game. However, they pick the years they want to talk about and conveniently, it is the games or years that fit their agenda. Guess what, UK might not win another tournament game for several years. Enjoy the season. At least most of Cal's teams played hard and had a chance to win at the end. Yes, he lost some lopsided games too, but so did Pitino, Hall, Sutton, Tubby, Rupp, and anyone else that coaches. It is not about worshiping him. It is about giving him credit for what he did and be thankful for the good times he brought to our program. Now, we have to find someone else, because Kentucky Basketball is in a Fragile time in its history. UCLA, Louisville and Indiana's programs crumbled and so can ours if we are not careful.

I think the majority of the board wanted Cal outta here. Then it came out that he was flirting with Ohio State. He obviously had worn out his welcome and it was best that both parties split ways. Now, if we have had a good AD we would have waited a bit until making a hire like we did. Obviously it’s not going the way Mitch wanted it to. We can’t let him around the next hire!

You do realize that both Pope and Cal have a 38-19 record as of today over the last 2 years, right? Pope is 15-11 in the SEC. Cal is 16-10. Not really the picture you are trying to portray of this massive difference. The situation here wasn't at all rosy for Cal and what he has done at Arkansas, he would not have been able to do here because he didn't have the necessary NIL support from the boosters. Pope hasn't delivered on the results that we all hoped for but don't make it seem like Cal has been a world beater because he hasn't.

Arkansas fans can crow all they want now, this won’t last, Kentucky will get this fixed. They know this even if they don’t want to say it. They are playing good basketball right now and are a good team, meanwhile Kentucky is struggling and will this season.
