Shocked, not shocked. I think this has as much to do with him being a dick his entire time as Pats HC to media as it does spygate. It also is statement that voters think 6 Superbowl wins far more to do with TB12 than him
Had he retired when Brady was done, he’d be in. Stayed past his prime, NE went into the toilet and UNC is a mess.
I can go with the shocked/not shocked conclusion. Being a dick certainly didn;t help him get any benefit of any doubt. But, without Brady I don’t think he was even a .500 coach

Also the cheating but I agree he was so unlikable as the NE coach that didn't help. He goes in next year or whenever it comes up again so kind of a nothing burger but still funny to see him get shunned.
They are definitely more bearable without those two highly annoying characters but there is no way I can cheer for them and I don't like the Seahags at all.

Do you think Bill Walsh benefited from having Joe Montana? I don't understand this argument. I am no fan of BB but the record of achievement is undeniable and unmatched. Not a good look for the voters.

Cheated multiple times and was caught plus he is a .500 coach in the NFL and College without Brady yet should be a first ballot HOF? Not in my book.
Interesting is Kraft is up for induction as well... is it possible Kraft and BB didn't want to go in with same class?
