Michigan State 76 RUTGERS 62

while a total blowout would not be surprising, I am expecting Sparty to be flat and jet lagged

MSU’s defense (62.8 ppg allowed) will stifle our offense, and they will destroy us on the boards. Jeremy Fears is Braden Smith lite, and they shoot 48% overall and 36% from 3-pt range. This will not be pretty.

Izzo likes Pike, because he beats him like a drum and can use him to get a lot of msg games. He takes his foot off the gas at some point. MSU 81-69

Given that michigan state is much better than indiana, and Rutgers was easily beaten by the Hoosiers, this should be a very ugly blowout loss by 30 or more points.

RU +14.5 at The Book.
Take MSU on the money line.

Take MSU on the money line? To clarify, you're telling people to bet that MSU will win regardless of the score. You do realize a $10 bet would likely have a payoff of $1. Why even bother?

I like RU to cover because:
- MSU will likely be coming into this game a bit tired.
- MSU's next game is a huge matchup with Michigan. If there was ever a game to be looking past, it's tonight.
- We were soooo bad against Indiana. Say what you want about Pike, but I'm sure he worked these guys extra hard after that embarrassment. They should be willing and able to give a great effort tonight.

Only hope is that sparty does not light us up from 3 like most teams do. I know they are not great from 3 but still. I expect 25 point loss as we are held under 55 speed limit.

Sparty's defense is even better than I thought. I checked KenPom, and they have the #1 ranked defense in the country at 88.8. We're going to struggle to hit the traditional speed limit of 55.

I believe we shall see what players Pike has or hasn't lost tonight

I'm unfortunately not optimistic that he hasn't lost a few
