If you cant find who the "breather" games are in the SEC, it's because it's us. This isn't necessarily pointed at you personally, but I grow weary of these constant excuses why Kentucky can't be successful. Esp, the SEC is too hard bs.

So, yeah, there does seem to have been a real changing of the guard with CFB’s balance of power. I don’t think anyone saw that coming.

I was one of the “I hope sec wins” type of people. If anybody still thinks the SEC is way better they are crazy.

This false narrative about Mark Cuban buying Indiana's current team is flat out ridiculous. A simple Google search would show why.

Mark Cuban gave his first ever donation to IU Football/NIL in October of 2025-- about midway through this season. That donation came after this season's roster was set, and after last season's CFP roster went 11-2, 10-1 in the B1G. For last season IU was bottom third in B1G funding; this year they were probably between 5th and 10th best funded. That funding will likely skyrocket for next season.

Cuban has given substantial past gifts to the Kelley School of business and to IU facilities (mainly the infomatics facilities) in the past. And yes - he has regularly attended IU games (mainly basketball until last season) throughout the past 25 years.

And FWIW, as the OP stated, Mendoza's dad reaches down to hug and kiss his mother, who does not hug back, because Elsa Mendoza has advanced MS, is wheelchair bound, and cannot lift her arms.

BTW... This kind of success is awesome news for programs like UK; programs that can now show recruits and supporters that extraordinary success in football is possible, even with a program history and currently lesser resources that are similarly lacking as IU's had been.
