If it is the IU safeties coach, I’m good with hiring off successful coaching staffs.

But I’d say keep your feet on the ground, don’t assume anything and hope he’s good.

Tino Sunseri was qb coach and then co-OC at IU for 4 years with Shanahan and his short stint at UCLA as OC didn’t go so well.

Corey Hetherman is from Massachusetts, and he has spent most of his time coaching in the Northeast, so we have that going for Rutgers. . . . .

No one wants to work for Schiano.

His reputation as a Micro Manager / non delegator of responsibility / work demands and most importantly lack of results preceedes him.

His ego won’t allow himself to hire anyone who would actually challenge him !
