Pregame, Brendan & Tate were fighting over playing time.

Those are Caitlin Clark shoes.

Coincidence? I think not.

[MAXIMUSHAWKEYE]

will be interesting to see how he's guarded moving forward because he's gonna be a bigger part of our opponent's scouting report

Thats good. Give the bad guys something to think about other than Stirtz and Banks.

Tate Sage is definitely not afraid of playing in the moment or spotlight. I'd like to see Cooper make the leap of faith.

Koch has been struggling on offense but he’s been playing solid D, which is why he continues to get as many minutes as he’s been getting despite the offensive slump.

"This guy's playing like a 5th year senior."

intelligent and well spoken

Interesting. I can’t stand the way Mendoza speaks.

Really need Cooper to step up on offense as a consistent contributor. Sure like the young man.

In today's win over Clemson, Tate was a spark off the bench. In 13 minutes he was 3-5 (60%) from the field with a made FT for 7 points and 1 rebound.

Both Tate & Cam are gonna have to do better at the FT line, however.

.....1-4 (25%): Cam
.....1-4 (25%): Tate
22-23 (96%): Rest of Team

24-31 (77%): TOTAL

Tate Sage reminds me of the guy on the other team that doesn't pretty much everything well. Some highlight plays, few mistakes, tough, smart. I always hated it when that guy was on the floor for the other team.

I hope the Hawks can hang onto him.

He was aggressive and attacking when everyone was standing around looking for the Bennett bailout.

Great contribution tonight!

I kept asking my wife (no pics) - "where is Tate Sage?" until he finally got in the game,

I think he made a real difference in the outcome.

Loved Nick, but I'd rate him a bit higher as a freshman then the "bear cage". Remember Baer redshirted as a freshman. Sage is bigger and I'd say more skilled then Baer was the first couple of seasons. Really interested to see him progress. So, does Ben consider bringing Tates twin (who's at Pitt State) for a look see? Probably not I guess. with Trey next season and Harris coming in were pretty full up at that 3/4, stretch 4 spot. Need a couple of guards and a big guy if we can land one.

[eyesofhawk]

22-12

[Hawkangler]

Trey Thompson is listed at 6'8".
Sage looks as tall as trey standing next to him.
Maybe sage is still growing?
I think of glenn vidnovic watching sage.
Jack o all trades guy.

I think of Kevin Boyle

Not a bad comparison. Tate is a better shooter, though, and Kevin a better defender.

another thing Sage and Baer have in common?

Both recruited by Ben McCollum...

[twindman]

Tate had a bad game at the line. But for the season he is 69% - so so but can get better.
