Rutgers (9-9, 2-5) visits Carver to tackle Iowa (13-5, 3-4). The scarlet knights are 4-6 in their last ten games and have yet to win a road game.

Iowa is fresh off their first road win of the season and are 6-4 in their last team games.

The hawks are heavy favorites and it feels like a must win. I’m seeing 76-64 Iowa in a game that is closer than the score indicates.

I'm told $2 beer and $2 pretzels. The kid told me that all excited last night (we're going to the game). Told him those deals are usually for students which they were. Granted he was excited about the $2 pretzels, but now that he's old enough to drive us back I could really go for two dollar beers, lol...

Sorry MrsScrew, but I think the Hawks still have some anger and resentment to burn off after the 3-game losing streak before this last Saturday in Bloomington.

I got a feeling the Hawks take this one 86-65.

I don't think coach McCollum means to embarrass the other team by running up the score, but with the odds now at -18.5, I don't see a close game, maybe 75-56. Hawks have only missed not covering the odds maybe 3 times in the 18 games played. I guess we'll see how it plays out by 9:30 tonight. Iowa's home, they're over their sickness and they're hungry to continue winning. Go Hawks!

Won't be lots of "DOWN IN FRONT!!" yelling tonight ..... as there won't be anyone to block others' view. :(

Its gotta be disheartening for the players and coach to see so many empty seats for a conference game, especially when you're favored & expected to win. Also, this team is likely going to the NCAA Tournament. Not like they're just playing out of the schedule because they have to like McCaffery's last couple of seasons.

Rutgers is one of those annoying teams (probably because they are fairly well coached) that can make things uncomfortable. Given the weather, tip time, let down effect...I can see this being closer than it needs to be.

Only because it could affect watching the game later, is anyone else's BTN really screwed up right now??

I am getting great reception numbers on all satellites and transponders on D*, but BTN looks like I'm trying to watch through really bad rain fade.

And its not happening on any other channels (that I know of).

EDIT: After checking around on all the other channels on the same satellite/transponder, there is another couple with reception problems as well. But all the rest seem just fine. Weird.

I think he is certainly on the hot seat. Not sure our new AD, who I love, but started in August is going to be ready to pull the plug on him.
She & the new President, who started in July, are busy building the NIL infrastructure that our prior AD paid zero attention to because he was boinking the gymnastics coach. Coaching jobs *may* be safe for another season.
