Thank you for your service, Barry.

Maybe this isn’t the place for this but I want to get this out of the way. When you joined the BOT, I didn’t think you were going to be able to continue to post on this board. I believed that you wouldn’t be able to find a positive balance between your duties as a Board member and your position as a plain old McAndrew board screwball. I was wrong.

Commonwealth Campuses
No increase for in-state undergraduates.
1% for out-of-state undergraduates.
1% for in-state graduate students.
2% for out-of-state graduate students.

University Park
2% for in-state undergraduate and graduate students.
4% for out-of-state undergraduate and graduate students.
Correct, but not complete.

Also an additional couple thousand per year increase for students in colleges of Business and Engineering (on top of the existing surcharges), and new extra surcharges for students taking over 19 credits.

Thanks, Barry. I also didn't copy and paste these from the article:

College of Medicine
4% for in-state medical students.
4% for out-of-state medical students in 2023-24.
14% for out-of-state medical students in 2024-25.

14%? Must have been a steal before the tuition hike. So just a correction to level the tuition with the value.

There is a bit of a back story to that one. FWIW

Short and sweet is that there had not previously been an "in state/out of state" differential (or at least not much of one.... I'd have to check notes to be 100% sure), and that big boost was a step towards initiating a differential.

Let‘s create some fast prestige around here. 14% tuition increase!
